We went here for lunch on a Saturday at about 2pm at peak season. We were in a party of 4. About the food, much to our dismay, there was no fresh fish, only frozen - we suspect the tavern may have run out. We ordered a mixed salad (EUR 10), a Greek salad (about EUR 7), fried meatballs (about EUR 8,5) and the sausage (about EUR 9). The meatballs were simply exquisite, absolutely amazing, the seasoning hit it right on the spot, the meat, was super juicy and tender. The mixed salad was also another high point, simply because it was gigantic (truly, an enormous portion for one single person to eat), and the cheese (graviera, perhaps?) was amazing. On that note, the feta that was served with the Greek salad was also really nice - we got the impression those people know their cheese. Otherwise, the seasoning for both salads was nothing to write home about, and so was the sausage. The side French fries in the meatballs and sausage were pretty good. The Greek salad had an average portion, but the sausage and the meatballs were a bit on the smaller side. A bread basket was served along with the dishes - it was terrific, but beware it will be charged EUR 2. Besides, service was extremely nice - Niko's son and his grand nephew were extremely nice. They served a pitcher of water immediately upon arrival, which was quite welcome on a scorching day. They also served some complimentary slices of water melon, which was also very thoughtful of them. Finally, there is no room with air conditioning, but it was not a problem at all - the front porch was pretty fresh with the sea breeze. Also, the view of the porch was quite...

I absolutely have to rave about this restaurant. The food was beyond delicious, and the service was top-notch. They found out it was my birthday towards the end of the dinner and quickly whipped up pancakes with peanut butter and cherry/blueberry compote complete with a candle and a sweet birthday song. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and easy to chat with. The souvlaki and fish dishes were simply superb. They even kindly advised us when we ordered too much, showing that they truly care about their customers and don't try to upsell like some other places. 10/10 recommend giving this...

Stellios, and the food he prepares was the reason we went 4 nights in a row for diner at Nikos tavern!!! The setting of his restaurant is so cosy and has the best vibe overlooking the bay. The friendliness of stellios, the owner, is out of this world. We felt at home right away and didn’t even try the other restaurants in town during our stay. Be sure to take the lamb chops, the green salad and the feta and eggplant dip!! As a starter you have to try the local sausage!! Greetings from the Belgian uno players. Hope to come back just to have diner at your...

Normally we change restaurants every night, but we went to Nikos Tavern every night of our stay! 4 nights in a row, and we were never disappointed!! First of all, Stellios is so welcoming and makes you feel at home in his restaurant. He made Appolonas feel like home to us, just because of his restaurant. Every day, we looked forward to go and eat at Stellios’ place! Thanks for having us Stellios!! We miss your food already! (The grilled feta with eggplant is a MUST) (so is his whole menu!!!)
