Plaka Watersports - Seaside Burger Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Stay away. My girlfriend and i rented 2 paddle boards to go paddle on a fairly windy day. We got told that if we started drifting away to put our hands in the air and someone would come get us. My girlfriend then started drifting far away and we put our hands up for them to come get us. Even though some of the staff were on the beach no one responded. Sometimes they even had no staff to watch us while we were in the water even though we had never tried paddle boarding before. She kept drifting farther away until she finally got the hang of it and we could finally get to shore. Been here after 5 years today (because we had great experience previously) and we are so disappointed. Out of ten items we ordered, one they did not have at all and one they brought in a different flavour. We have been waiting for 40 (yes, forty) minutes for two coffees which eventually arrived, and a beer that never made it. The waitress (short brown hair) was so rude, saying it is not at all her fault and she cant see why she should apologize. Food is really tasty and decent range accommodating to various dietary requirements. And that's as good as it gets.

The "seaside burger bar" neglected to inform us that the burger would come out 20 minutes after the rest of the food, without an apology.

When discussing this issue with a staff member they simply stated "it wasn't their problem, it's a Naxos problem". Somewhat confused how this was the case...

It's also disappointing there was no recognition nor accountability of the error.
