Krokodilos gastro tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Nea Propontida

Disappointing experience – not recommended

Unfortunately, our visit to Krokodilos Gastro Tavern was far from what we expected. All the food was brought to the table at once, and everything was already cold when it arrived. The so-called “Grandma’s meatballs” were extremely tough and dry, and the mashed potatoes served with them were cold and bland.

The “fried feta” was also a big letdown – it didn’t taste like real feta and was overwhelmingly salty. We tried to express our concerns politely, but the waiter, Socrate, responded disrespectfully and simply said he didn’t know anything about the food – which made the experience even worse.

With so many great taverns in the area, this was a disappointing choice. Sadly, we won’t be...

Very disappointing experience with this restaurant. Arrived at 8 pm on Saturday for dinner. We were told first that we could sit anywhere. When we chose a table we liked we were asked in a very authoritarian manner to change table and sit at an isolated smaller table. After having done so and chosen our meal from the menu we wanted to order but only one out of five or six waiters seemed to deal with the orders. This same person also dealt with receiving the arriving clients while the other waiters were standing around doing nothing. When we asked one of these waiters to take our order we were told in an unpleasant way that we had "to wait for our turn". This is when we decided to leave and have dinner...

Lousy food, service, dirty bathrooms and very expensive: We had Greek salad, grilled fish, grilled and fried sardines, and eggplant with cheese. The portions were small, the salad had two small pieces of feta cheese, and the grilled sardines were over-grilled. The fried sardines were average. The grilled eggplant was very plain and tasteless. The cost was 70€! To top it off, Service was lousy. Customers are misled by the nice appearance of the tables and the setting. I believe that the positive ratings are either fake or by tourists who did not have the chance to experience...
