Amazing experience! One of the best Italian restaurants we ate at - period!
We went in the afternoon - so the restaurant was pretty empty and they were having a food photo-shoot, which is what attracted us to go in the first place. The dishes looked divine! and we were not disappointed.
Prices are on the premium side for Greek standards BUT in my opinion it is well worth it and the portions are relatively big. The Risotto with raw Tuna was very tasty, as was their Melanzane alla Parmigiana. Pizza was also great - and their Tiramisu heavenly!
Our waitress was also super friendly, gave us great advice on the menu and was simply a pleasure to interact with throughout.
The only thing I wished was done differently was that my daughter and I were served our main dishes first, and that of my husband came almost 20 minutes later, by which time we were almost done eating... I would have preferred we were told that the Risotto takes more time to cook, in which case we would have told them that we would prefer to wait and eat all together. But that's a detail.
I would certainly highly recommend this restaurant, and hope we can visit it again soon next time we...
Read moreStaff was very polite and helpful - service was a bit slow. The place was packed and I would say a bit crowded, I believe they could lose some of the tables because we were practically rubbing elbows with the people on the table next to us. Also, very noisy fron all the chatter, however we enjoyed the atmosphere. Regarding food, we decided to order some of the expensive dishes - overall it was fine, but we were unimpressed with the pasta and the risotto. Finally, I should mention that we found a piece of tinfoil in one dish - not a big deal, however we quietly told the server who couldn't understand why we were making the comment... Another (I guess more senior server - the ones taking orders and payments) intervened, took the plate and said nothing... I believe when a guest finds tinfoil in a €20 dish, the least you can do is not charge them this dish. In summary, the place is fine but perhaps not worth spending more than €35 per person -...
Read moreEven though the restaurant was looking quite promising, I was disappointed. The staff was a batch of amateurs that they needed a lot of training. The food came quite quickly but the wine came quite late even though it's the first to be served. The waiter dropped a piece of ham into the candle and he asked us if we want the piece to eat it. Another waiter dropped water on one of our friends. The food was below average. Probably people in the area have not discovered yet Vissente, a little gem with real Italian food in the middle of Nea Smyrni 's square. We complained to the Manager who admitted that the staff are new and they need training . At the end , as a good will gesture, she offered us a dessert to share among 3 people without even asking if we eat the specific dessert or we have any allergies. Definitely, we are not going back and I don't recommend this place to anyone with a good...
