As a chef myself, I don’t usually leave reviews, but I do believe in giving credit where it’s due—and in this case, sharing honest feedback to help improve things. I called this place around 8pm to book a table for two at 21:15. No issues over the phone, the booking was accepted without hesitation.
I travelled about an hour to get there, looking forward to the evening. When we arrived, the lady at the front was friendly and even asked which table we’d prefer—so far, so good. But as soon as we sat down, she told us they wouldn’t be able to take our order for the next 30–40 minutes.
Now, I completely understand a busy service—trust me, I’ve been in the weeds many times myself. But the respectful and professional thing would’ve been to let us know when I called, or at the very least when we walked in. Waiting 30–40 minutes just to place the order (on top of cooking time) isn’t something most guests would sign up for, especially after a long trip.
I was told the rush had all happened in the last 40 minutes, which I find hard to believe based on the atmosphere when we arrived. Honestly, it just didn’t feel well-managed. Sometimes, setting a cap on capacity is the better option than risking a poor guest experience.
It’s a shame, because I was looking forward to trying the food, but unfortunately, the lack of communication and planning really let the...
Read moreQuite possibly the worst meal I have had in Greece, and I’ve been coming to Greece every year since 2008. Great service from the young male waiter who sat me down. However my order was taken by a completely disinterested waitress. I ordered sardines and sofrito. I was given a complimentary starter comprising a piece of flatbread (fantastic 9/10) and stew (very good 7/10). It went downhill from there. Sardines were deep fried, and over salted. Things you do when your fish is less than fresh. (4/10) Sofrito was TERRIBLE (1/10). Sauce was runny and lacking in depth of flavour. Rice was a soggy mess. Only getting the single point because the fries were pretty good. Meat was tough as old boots. I ate maybe 1/10th of the meat and asked for my plate to be removed and for the bill. Disinterested waitress asked why and I told her. She gave me a courtesy “sorry”. After 20mins I had to remind the waitress for my bill and she promised to get the card machine but never returned. Cue young male waiter who brought card machine and I paid the full bill. I gave him some honest feedback and he was shocked. He was genuinely apologetic and asked why I didn’t say something before paying the full bill. I told him I wasn’t after a free meal and explained that I informed the waitress but she was indifferent and gave me the full bill anyway. I won’t...

From the moment we stepped in, we were transported straight to the heart of Greece. This charming restaurant delivers not only on ambiance but on flavor, authenticity, and impeccable service.
We started with the Greek salad, which was a refreshing burst of Mediterranean freshness. Crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and creamy feta came together beautifully, drizzled with olive oil and herbs that tasted like they were straight from a Greek hillside.
The bread arrived warm, crusty on the outside and soft within, perfect for dipping and sharing. But the real star of the show was the baked feta – melty, slightly caramelized, and balanced with just the right hint of spice and sweetness. It was comfort food elevated to an art form. For the main course, we shared the pastitsio, and it did not disappoint. Layers of tender pasta, rich and hearty meat sauce, and velvety béchamel combined in a dish that was both deeply satisfying and soul-warming. The service was just as memorable as the food – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server guided us through the menu with enthusiasm and knowledge, making us feel like honored guests at a Greek family table. This place is a true gem. If you're looking for authentic...
