Doctor Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Ordered a large Pork Gyros for myself and a large Chicken Gyros for my younger son (requested the Chicken Gyros plain..... Just fries and chicken), with drinks and an extra plate of Fries. It was quite late and the restaurant did not appear to be particularly busy.

My Pork Gyros and the Fries were served in good time, and both were very good, but on the first attempt my son's Chicken Gyros was served with Tzatziki, so we politely pointed this out to the waitress who immediately sent it back to the grill to be replaced with what we had actually ordered (plain Chicken Gyros.... with just fries and chicken)

On the second attempt the Gyros was served as ordered, or so we thought, but after eating a few pieces of meat we realised they had served us a Pork Gyros, not a Chicken Gyros as ordered, so I again politely pointed this out to the waitress (who had clearly started to lose her patience at the sheer audacity of us asking for what we had actually ordered) and it was once again taken away to be replaced with what we had actually ordered.

My younger son was also met with the comment "But don't you like the pork....?" by the waitress.....

Anyway, by this time my son had started to lose his appetite and so (to avoid waste and also in an attempt to help the restaurant out as well) we asked them just to replace it with a regular size chicken gyros (plain again..... with just fries and chicken), and on the third attempt we were finally served what we had actually ordered, alongside a half-hearted and somewhat insincere apology.

But that wasn't the end of it.....

On receiving the bill and after all the prior screw ups, we weren't surprised to find that they had charged us for a large Chicken Gyros, even though we only ended up with a small one.....

I reluctantly (but again patiently and politely) took this up with the by now seemingly exasperated waitress, who took the bill away only to quickly return and tell me that the bill was correct (which of course, it wasn't).

I couldn't be bothered to argue / question any longer so we (over) paid in full and left, without a thank you, a goodbye, or even a flash of eye contact from a single member of staff.

I've eaten at Doctor Grill many, many times over the last 15 years, but after tonight's experience, I'll never go back.

What's really upsetting though is the contemptuous, disrespectful, somewhat arrogant, and borderline rude attitude that we, as customers, were treated with, which I'm sorry to say is something that has become noticeably more prevalent over the years by a number of Greek service providers towards their customers.... (the very people that keep them in business and at the end of the day put roofs over their heads....)

All in all it was an unenjoyable, uncomfortable experience, that I wouldn't choose to go through again.

Bad move, and poor show Doctor Grill.......

Ordinary. I thought yeah cool. A solid fix quick cheap and cheerful... None of the above. Cold chips. These guys. Why would they put cold chips with it. They got tons of them. And the food took so long. They used chips from the last persons left overs which was probably ten minutes at least before I ordered. Add the time it took to bring the food and you got over 15 minutes of chip drying cooling and crispness time to accumulate...

And the meat was not great we also had souvlaki. So just the skewer of meat with chips. Meat was without flavour. Zero. Like they just don't care. I was mega confused. And suprise. Yey more cold chips... So they not want us to come back for repeat visits while here in holiday.

No one else there in shop... So no excuses for slow service. Cold dead old chips are the worst insult you can get at any food service place... Like what's the deal. This place was sooo lame. And not too polite. I think they knew the chips were cold and just didn't care? Wish I said something. But I just had no energy. Was so deflated from their service I just wanted to pay and leave. Now I write a review from a cooler room with time to comprehend just what the hell that was that I paid for... I reitterate... Go to a lb actual restaurant and order a starter of something real and you get it in the same speed pretty much same price and is actually got flavour and better ingredients and is warm. This place has the best cooked meat along the whole stretch of road I do not know it only gets 3.8 the only other comparable place on that road is called Pareas dis Steki and that's a restaurant the staff here are fantastic friendly and the price is very fair and the meat is NOT over cooked like pretty much everywhere else we've been which is practically almost every restaurant on this road as me and the wife have been here for 2 weeks so that's lunch at one place dinner at another I've been reading the ratings of the other places we've been to are getting and its comical how they get such a high rating one of which is a place calypso which got a 4.6 and that was one of the worst cooked calamari I've had since we've been here the other place that got a 4.9 was katerina and that again was food grade wise a generous 6 to 6.5 anyway I hope this helps someone but do yourselves a favour try the meats at other places then try the same thing here and you'll see that this place is far superior I highly recommend Doctor Grill 5 out of...
