This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I've visited in all the countries I've traveled to. I think this restaurant is famous in Athens and does not need anyone to evaluate, But I will explain the things to you why this restaurant is the best for all not for me only and the answer is simple. Because it is a complete restaurant integrated from all the things that make it a successful restaurant. I will mention why I prefer this restaurant over other restaurants. I have to go to him weekly or order from there deliver all the time. And when i invite my friends i order for them from this restaurant all the meals that satisfy all the invitees and they enjoy eating these meals. This restaurant has all the things that make it a successful restaurant on a great level. The cleanliness that is unparalleled in all measures of the cleanliness of tables, chairs, dishes, tools, glass, and everything in it is organized from A to Z. The restaurant's decor, which combines past decor with new modern decor, so that you feel that it tells a success story that deserves to be honored. This restaurant is organized in a wonderful way, from the receptionist who greets you with a smile that makes you feel welcome to providing you with a place and a table suitable for the number of people so that another friendly employee comes to provide a menu of meals and water, and then a nice employee comes to take the food order and provides explanations about meals and assistance if you need it. Read moreThis place is not even worth one star. Greek hospitality is known worldwide but this restaurant ruins it. Do not let the good reviews fool you. From the poor service, the arrogant waiters who think they are gangsters, and the stale food offered. When we entered the waiters could not even be bothered to attend to us. Their attitude should have been our first sign to leave. We sat down and the waiter had an issue with the table we chose despite not offering us anything in the first place. The food took around 20 minutes to arrive. The beef gyros was advertised with chips only for them to serve like 5 chips in a plate. We raised this with the skinny Alabanian looking waiter, who had so much attitude that he just took the plate added more chips and came to chucked it on the table with no apology or care. We then went to take a bite from the beef gyros for it to be rubbery, cold and stale. This was the last straw after the poor service, attitude and lack of bother offered. After asking the waiter what rubbish food this was, we decided to leave as noone would pay for such rubbish. As we left they tried to hold us to make us pay. A bunch of waiters came running behind (not all bad ) in which the Greek guy Nikos thought it’s funny to play action man and create a scene. We were under no obligation to pay as no receipt was given and the food was utter rubbish - we had not taken more than one bite. The manager even came to tell this guy to let it go as we did not have the food, yet he was adamant to act tough and big infront of the prepubescent kids he had to entertain. The Albanian looking kid seemed to find it funny and acted smug rather than taking the situation seriously (his picture is attached). Why work at such a place if you can’t be professional? The Greek guy (picture also attached) went as far as swearing and telling us to never come again. He tried to instigate a physical fight as though we are street rats and not customers. We are tourists here, and we will not be taken advantage of the way you guys are notoriously known to do with others. He thought we do not know Greek or the system here. His threats and arrogance quickly calmed down when he realised it was being recorded and that we will post it. After acting hard infront of the other waiters he came running close to us to ask for forgiveness. I’ll say one thing, you should really watch who you mess with. We have heard good things about this place but our first time experience with this place has been appalling. We are not accustomed to such terrible service as this nonsense is not tolerated in England. And to the Greek guy, if you were trying to be racist then just know we are not the type to tolerate racism. You have no right to behave the way you did and swear at us. Read moreMy recent visit to [Alaaddin] restaurant left me thoroughly disappointed. Having traveled all the way from Sweden to Athens as a tourist, I had heard rave reviews about the delicious food this restaurant supposedly offered. However, upon arrival on a Saturday evening, around 7 PM, my expectations were shattered.
The staff informed me that there were no available tables for the night, and all were reserved. The only option they offered was a small table by the exit door, where cold drafts constantly blew in as people came and went. Unfortunately, this arrangement not only marred the dining experience but also left me feeling unwelcome.
Overall, the evening turned out to be a waste of time, as I spent two hours in discomfort. It's regrettable that such a renowned establishment failed to live up to its reputation. I hope management takes note of these shortcomings and strives to improve the overall customer experience...
