Prego — Restaurant in Municipality of Patras

In short: Cool location/very bad service

Where to start?! The location itself was pretty cool, good located and in vintage style decorated. The service though was some of the worst we've ever experienced. First we went into the summer garden on the 1st floor but nobody seemed to recognize that we came and went up there. After 10 minutes, we went down stairs and sat there. One from the staff crew said hi to us but moved on. After 10 more minutes of waiting we decided to leave as we were simply ignored. After we went almost outside, someone passed us and offered us to stay on their roof top with service to come soon. We gave it one more try...

The service guy for our table could almost speak no english. The menue was available though in all kind of languages with order codes (A3, F13, etc). As we tried to order our drinks and food the guy was completely irritaded by those codes as if he barely NEVER heard of them before (though it was their own menue card). We tried to tell him in english what we want (fried feta & beef burger) though he didn't understand. So we took their menue app and showed him our 'targets' in greek language as we knew the right order codes.

Long story short - I had my feta after 30min and started to eat. After I was finished, my girlfriend was still waiting for her burger. Simple beef burger ('best in town'). After 20 more minutes the guy came and tried to explain that something went wrong (don't know what?!) and the burger needs 5 more minutes and he felt sorry. After in total 1 hour and 10 minutes the 'burger' came. The fries were self made and good. The burger though was no burger - they brought 4 small beef paddys next to the fries. No bun, no lettuce, onions or tomatoes or any other sides. As she was hungry we didn't want to argue about it as communication was anyhow a disaster. But it's totally unprofessional in any country to keep a customer waiting for over an hour (only 2 tables were served with food) and to bring the wrong food or an interpretation of it. We are pretty sure they ran out of buns/salad why it took them so long to organize an alternative but didn't even ask the customer if he's fine with this change/adjustment.

In total it was wasted time for us as we waited over an hour for average food which was wrongly served. A pity... because we liked...

I tried the Prego cocktail (spicy, sour), version without cinnamon. First of all, I would like to point out that I make many cocktails and I am very picky about their tastes. This cocktail, served by charming and pleasant staff, is probably one of the best I have drunk in the last 10 years. The balance between sweet and bitter is perfect, the ginger balances out the sugar. I leave 5 stars even if I don't understand why the use of electronic cigarettes is...

Best cocktail in town Splendid place and destination to have an amazing time in. Banana moon garden is one of the most unique places in town that make you feel as if you are outside of Greece !The service was outstanding and the barman as well! We tried a Zombie and May Thai as well as 2 classic Margaritas and they were delicious ! I recommend it wholeheartedly and we will visit banana...
