I don’t even know where to start, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. the beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard, I can feel my hips pressing against the metal spirals. The shower is just a hose next to the toilet which ended up being super messy and getting water everywhere, the tiles also look quite moldy. the pillows are so thin it feels the same as laying your head straight on the bed, we also only received one pillow case which was weird as well. the walls are super thin and you can hear every single baby crying and conversation. the clock tower goes off every hour and it is very loud and wakes you up each time. the Air conditioner does not work whatsoever and the remote control doesn’t even have batteries in it, which isn’t so nice when it is over 100°. the only nice aspects of this hotel is that the wifi works very well and the location is right in the center of the city and you can walk almost anywhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone trying to get a good night sleep. the price is also way over what you should be paying for a place like this. EDIT- we woke up to over 300€ charged to our bank accounts for one night. when we confronted the staff (dimitri) about this he acted as though he didn’t understand, even after directly pointing to the charges from the hotel, when we asked for a refund he just shrugged. the staff does not comply with the mask rules which are posted on every inch of the hotel, instead opting to wear it under their noses. DO NOT STAY HERE (unless of course you want to be scammed of your money with no refund) any other hotel near by will be much better for a...
Read moreGreat location, BUT...We had a triple room, which consisted of one double and one single bed. There was no room to lay our suitcases, which were carry-on size, other than in between the beds-great for falling over anytime you wanted to move about the room. Absolutely not remotely like the picture. This was, by far, the tightest room I have ever had. It was probably a double room and they just squeezed in another bed. It was suitable for only 1 double bed, no more. They did have one of those open type stools for laying a suitcase on, but there was no room to put it up. Talking about small - one of our friends weighed 45 kilos and she was too big for the shower. We stayed for 3 nights and in spite of asking for clean towels, only the single bed was made and given fresh towels. There was no restaurant on the premises but there was a breakfast hall with a decent breakfast. There was a bar with a piano, but it was not used while we were there. Being there over New Years, I expected for something to be happening, but there was nothing. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place. The receptionist, however, was an absolute sweetheart; she was the nicest thing about the hotel, other than...
Read moreI stay in Patras regularly for hospital treatment. Unfortunately my regular hotel was full. The Mediterranee is only renovated on the ground floor until the second floor. I was on the sixth floor in a tired looking room. At 20.25 a gang of male teenagers were running up and down the corridor banging on doors including mine. I called reception and they said the knew and someone was coming to stop them. That happened twice. At about 03:00 the fire alarm went off. I raced out of bed and into the corridor....nothing. I called reception and they said it was the kids. It happened again about 40 mins later, again the kids. To have to call to reception to see if there is an actual fire is ridiculous. It happened one more time. I felt unsafe from the teenagers and unsafe in the building. The staff had little control. I tried contacting the hotel to complain but I've heard nothing, so can they be...
