I wouldn’t recommend Ammos Restaurant based on our recent visit. Upon arrival, the staff seemed uncertain about whether any tables were available, despite the fact that only about six other diners were present. It didn’t inspire confidence, and the reservation system—handwritten on a piece of paper—added to the sense of disorganization. It took the waitress a moment just to locate an empty table, go figure.
When it came to the food, the experience was underwhelming. The calamari portion was noticeably small and lacked generosity. The fried chips served alongside were of the shoestring variety—hardly satisfying. On a more positive note, the boiled green salad was quite pleasant and well-prepared.
The most off-putting moment came at the end of the meal when paying by card. We were directly asked whether we wanted to leave a tip. In our experience, tipping in Greece is typically reserved for service that stands out. Unfortunately, the service here didn’t meet that standard—it felt more transactional than hospitable.
Overall, Ammos Restaurant left a lot to be desired, both in terms of food quality and...

I really wanted to give 5 stars But the girls who worked there could not be arsed and the guy who served us had a face like a wet weekend We waited ages for the table to be cleared By that time we had had enough The one time I seen the girls move was when the old guy came out and told them to clear the table next to us We had to ask to have ours cleared . The food was great but the serving staff need to learn how to do there job and the waiter needs to smile more As I’ve said before it’s not...
Read moreUnfortunately, our experience at Ammos did not meet our expectations. Although the food was decent, the service left much to be desired. The staff was careless, did not serve us properly, forgot part of our order (the saganaki), yet still charged us for it, and the overall atmosphere felt chaotic and unwelcoming. We felt like we were treated as just "another table," not as guests who came to enjoy a nice evening.
Even though the place was very crowded, that should never be an excuse for poor service and lack of attention to customers. We left disappointed, especially since it was a special occasion for us, my mother birthday.
Not recommended if you're looking for an authentic, relaxing dining experience...
