We had lunch at 1.30. Me, my wife, and three kids aged 8, 5, 5. Disregard our review if you are a young couple with no kids. We ordered fried feta with honey and sesame (good), grilled sardines (good but just six tiny fishes), greek salad (mediocre tomatoes, not particularly good), pork bites with interesting sauce (so-so, my wife actively disliked this) chicken nuggets for the kids (good for being chicken nuggets) and steamed mussels (ok). Basically the food is “standard international bistrot experience” level. My son asked for “soda” and he got a club soda bottle, that is strongly carbonated water. Perhaps this is a language barrier issue. We would have liked to have coffee at the end (either greek coffee or frappé) but they said “only espresso, we do not have milk”. Again perhaps this is a cultural barrier thing like ordering cappuccino after lunch in Italy? I will ask chatgpt about that. The table is made of glass and in front of each of us there were two glasses (wine/water). Taking away the wine glasses from the kids would have helped reduce the risk of a disaster (piling them up and having them fall on the glass table seemed fun to them). There are very young waiters that are given no leeway in taking decisions so they always have to ask their seniors even for seemingly trivial stuff, making the whole process slow and somewhat awkward. The view is...
Read moreIt was the worst restaurant during our 5 day stay in Athens. Our waiter was lazy and rude, not helpful at all. We felt not welcome, seemed like he is doing a favor to serve us. They didnt let us sit by the seaside even if nobody was sitting there and we were only two, and no, not even later people were coming for those places, actually they didnt let anybody sitting by those seats only large groups. We got a table behind the door so we didnt have enough place for our legs. This was the first time when we should have left but we were freaking hungry so decided to stay unfortunately. Children with flowers are coming in every 10 minutes to ask you to buy from them. Its bothering, but management dont do anything about it. Food was slow. I already ate my meal when my bf asked them where is his. They cleary just forgot about it so he waited another 7ish minutes to get it...the food was no bad not good, nothing special. When I got my food there was a piece of hair on it, and the waiter obviously saw when I removed, cause it was right after he put the plate down, but he didnt say sorry, offer new one, or anything... As I mentioned we didnt eat all day, so we didnt leave or send the food back what we would normally do, but hunger controlled us...
Read moreDining at the waterfront Athens Greek restaurant was nothing short of magical. The atmosphere, with the gentle sound of waves and a soft breeze, created the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. We each had our own dish, and every bite was a true celebration of flavors. The lamb chops were tender and succulent, bursting with rich, savory notes. The pork tomahawk was grilled to perfection, juicy, and full of depth. The fresh mussels, paired with the seafood salad, were a delightful blend of the ocean’s freshest offerings.
The seafood pasta was a harmonious medley of flavors, with each ingredient enhancing the next. The Greek wine we selected was the perfect complement—light, crisp, and refreshing, balancing out the richness of the meats and seafood. To finish, the Greek donuts, warm and golden, accompanied by ice cream, were the ultimate sweet indulgence, light yet decadent.
The staff were incredibly attentive and added to the warm, inviting experience. Dining by the water with such impeccable dishes made the evening feel like a dream. It was a meal we’ll never forget, filled with authentic, vibrant Greek flavors and a view that took our...
