It was the most horrible “restaurant” I have ever been in my life. I came in a very good mood on the last day of my visit to Athens. I did not have a lot of time, as I planned to go to Acropolis. So decided just to go have lunch at that “restaurant”, because it was near the place where I was staying in the Piraeus area.
From the beginning, I did not feel very well, as I had an impression that they treated you just from the perspective of how much money they could get from you. I ordered the salad and it came without half of the ingredients mentioned in the menu. Which as I found out supposed to be in the "sauce". The older man who served me was very nice, but another person who also served me turned out to be not nice at all. Instead of apologizing, he was arguing all the time and playing like he didn't understand me.
They recook the salad and it came the same as it was before, just without a fork. I was waiting about 15 minutes when someone will come to told that I don't have a fork. However, just decided to leave and take food with me, as I didn't have time to eat it and didn't have willing to stay at this place after all those circumstances. At home, I also found out that the shrimps, which was one of the major ingredients, were not cleaned. As that dish was mentioned in the menu as a "Chef salad", then the chef should know that the shrimps should be served deveined and cleaned from the digestive tract. You cannot serve shrimps like that at the restaurant. So I just threw this "salad" away.
As a cherry on top, they bring you water and 3 pieces of bread in the beginning, without asking, and will put it on the check in the end.
I also read other reviews after I visited that place and regret that I didn’t do it before I went there. 100% NOT...
Read moreSummary: food was overall good. Service was horrible. Horrible.
Ordered grilled snapper, fries, ntako (like caprese salad) and fava (pea puree). Fish seemed fresh enough, the ntako salad was excellent. Fries were soggy and oily. Fava interesting and tasty (but I have nothing to compare it to).
The waiters seemed uninterested in the "tourists". 20 minutes after ordering, I asked about my grilled fish. It came out 10 minutes later (30 total). When I noted to the waiter that this was a long wait, he shook me off by saying that since it is grilled and not from the oven, it takes longer (nonsense- should take 5 minutes).
They completely forgot to serve the beer.
Had to approach the cashier for the bill because the waiters were too busy. Of course we were charged for beer despite never having it served to us. I waited a few more minutes thinking that the waiter is taking care of correcting the bill, until I lost patience and just left the amount that I thought to be correct, shoved it at the...
Read moreThis was the worst experience so far I have had in Athens.
The employees were extremely rude, they were complaining to each other that we ordered very few things (we could hear it and they did it next to us so we could hear it) and also the language they were using towards us was extremely rude, no professionalism was shown.
We spent 20 euros per person but it was not satifying enough for them and they asked for extra tip (not a request, they asked how much tip we will give directly).
Even though we sat there for 2-3 hours and saw them serving sweets to other tables as gesture, they did not serve to us, most probably because we did not order so many things like 20 euros per person is too low, like a joke…
In Peiraki, there are many seafood restaurants so I highly advise everyone to just try others, because it seems this restaurant lost basic ethics and professionalism because somehow they think they are...
