Avrofiliton — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

Absolutely fantastic experience! The ambiance is top-notch and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered a Margherita pizza – it was delicious, with rich and flavorful cheese that really stood out. We also had a Gyros plate, which was equally excellent – perfectly seasoned and generous in portion. Truly first-class food.

The highlight came at the end with a lovely surprise from the house: a chocolate cream cookie cake. It was the perfect sweet finish and honestly one of the best desserts we’ve ever had.

Great value for money as well. All in all, a solid 5-star experience. Warm greetings...

We were thinking of dining here but as soon as we noticed that they have a poor parrot caged in a small enclosure we immediately turned around. The parrot was in a miserable state. To read previous reviews from a year ago mentioning the caged parrot, shows that they’ve done nothing to ensure the welfare of this poor animal. Dear owners of Avrofiliton, if you have no empathy for a helpless animal, what empathy would you have for your customers? Unfortunately they keep a parrot in a way too small cage. Not only is this cruel to the animal, that has to suffer for many years and for what?? I also don't think it is very hygienic (hello salmonella). This horrible Greek "tradition" of keeping birds as prisoners for entertainment has to end already!! Also, the use of the vegan (or vegetarian?) "V" symbol on the menu is very misleading. Shrimps and snails are animals and therefor definitely neither vegan nor vegetarian, yet they are marked with a "V"...
