Visited on a Sunday evening in August - just around Sunset. It's set a little up the hill from Platanias centre and offers excellent food and drink, in comfortable surroundings with views of the sea.
We had a prawn linguine, spare ribs in BBQ sauce and a children's spaghetti Bolognese. Both my wife and I agreed that our meals both tasted fresh and delicious with generous portion sizes. We received mini ice creams a grenadine flavoured ouzo with our bill (delicious, and a nice change to the regular Raki) The lovely touch was the fizzy orange complete with shot glass served with our Ouzo to allow our 10 year old daughter to join in.
We paid around €75 for the 3 of us with drinks, mains, bread and olives.

If you ever go here you must try their Kleftiko (the far away dish in the photo, in the bag). They make the best Kleftiko in all of Crete, and I've tried it in multiple locations from Rethymno, to Platanias. The lamb was excellent and well seasoned. However, when I kindly asked for the serving of tathiki (pardon my mispelling) when the main course was served, the message was that I had to remove the the plate, then they would see to its removal.
