Paliria Restaurant, Cafe, Ouzerie — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

The main issue for me was with the service. We had had a large lunch and so only wanted to have a small meal. We asked for a Greek salad and a moussaka- to which the owner responded ‘ the Greek salad is a starter’. This is a pet peeve of mine when restaurants try and ‘up sell’ to you. We are both adults who wanted a light meal and also not to drink. Immediately bread and raki were brought on arrival but no one asked did we want these things. It felt presumptive. Obviously it was within the cover charge but again if felt a presumption that assumed a lot. My partner disliked the food saying he had had better moussaka as a ready meal and highlighted the dish was like warm. The Greek salad I thought was fresh but lacked any seasoning. Ironically it was huge- which made the earlier upselling around the salads only being starter size more ridiculous. My partner then tried to change my daughter’s nappy and asked where was best and was told to do it on the floor?! When he then refused the staff suggested the toilet floor but there was no space! For me this put a dampener on it because they had a great selection of children’s toys at the front and were definitely trying to show themselves to be family friendly. We then had to wait with our daughter with a dirty nappy until we got home. My main issue is one of not respecting people’s choices. If we just wanted a coffee for example then be magnanimous and give us the damn coffee! We may have been back several times but instead they lost some custom for short...

A paradise for families: Manos and Stella Louladakis create delicious fresh food partly made from their own ingredients. Everything is presented in a beautiful fashion but always relaxed and with a personal touch. The two know their guests and do everything they can to make them have a perfect evening.

The kitchen also creates wonderful pies and Manos Louladakis homemade Strawberry or Lemon Raki, that comes with the fruit plate with each desert is just magically refreshing and tasteful.

For us, having the kids play on the restaurants playground, each evening was simply perfect: we tested many different starters and main dishes - everything was unique and of high quality.

The kids could choose from 8 different kids menu items - of course mainly the chicken nuggets with fries made it ;-)

I can really recommend the grilled octopus, Dolmadiki or the Zaziki - but honestly: Free to chose anything from the menu - I'm sure you...

We had such a wonderful experience at Paliria Restaurant. The food was delicious, beautiful views of the sea, and fantastic customer service from the staff and owner.

The only negative experience was the mosquitos biting us since there wasn’t much wind there and the restaurant didn’t have a fan, but everything else made up for it.

We loved how there’s a playground there and we will definitely go back with our children there.

The biggest surprise was the dessert! We were ready to just leave after paying the bill, but then we were presented with a bowl of various flavored raki to taste with vanilla crème mousse cake.
