I honestly don’t understand the good reviews.

Yes, the owner was kind and friendly and the service fine.

But food is what matters — and it was by far the worst we’ve had after eating out 8 days straight.

The hamburgers tasted like frozen supermarket patties, which is unacceptable in a restaurant. My dish, the pork fillet with cream sauce, was one of the most expensive items on the menu, yet it was shockingly poor. Bland flavor, tiny portion — the smallest I’ve seen all week — and absolutely not worth the price.

When you leave a restaurant after spending €70 and still hungry and disappointed, something has gone very wrong. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place at all.

Both kids ordered a desert each and was very happy with the ice cream and chocolate cake, which was huge.

I would proberly got more full of that mega slab of cake then my dinner.

We have made 3 visits to the area this year and regularly use secret garden for lunch and some evening meals: We have always found the food to be well cooked and nicely presented, the service is both friendly and efficient, and the surroundings pleasant and relaxed. We both found the portions to be good, the price very reasonable and the complementary fruit and Raki a nice way to finish any meal. The best pork gyros I've had in the past week! 😋 And my wife loved her cheeseburger. 😍 Our only regret is that we found this place too late on our last day in Crete. If you love gyros like me, this is a place you must visit! 💯 I have no doubt that the other foods they have would be excellent too.
