Certainly of of the best restaurants in the Platanias area. Tasos himself has been in the business for years and is an excellent host and an authority on local history. If you are interested in knowing about the area or any of the local families, he can entertain you with story after story about the many personalities who have come and gone. The owners offered to serve us even near closing hours. They were friendly and welcoming. The food felt like having a barbeque home. Great Cretan raw material quality along with some traditional recipes made the combination for a very nice experience. Local wine, traditional ntakos, moussaka and gemista and great prices. Had the seafood plate…swordfish, calamari, squid and octopus was nice but the over cooked prawns let it down big time! There was no butter with the bread and no sauces on offer…waitress was never around to assist, having only one on in a full restaurant isn’t great. All in all, an ok meal but there are nicer places...
