Bossa Nova Restaurant and Beer Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

First time we had the Chicken Fillet and Pork Belly Rib, the best meal we had on the island, real tender and juicy. Two meals we really recommend.

The second time we had Shrimps and orzo. Oven baked lamb and Brownie with walnuts, cream, vanilla ice cream (remember to ask for ice cream, it is not in the meny).

Regarding the shrimps, they hadn't cleaned the prawns properly, we had to remove the intestines ourselves, but otherwise this was very good. The oven-baked lamb tasted good, but too little food for a grownup ;) For the dessert, it was like heaven, really, really good.

The premises were nice and the atmosphere was good. The staff were busy, so we want to give extra credit to the waitor who gave us excellent service and took time even though it was busy time of...

We used to love this place, visited a few times per month for dinner or just a beer and lunch. Really nice atmosphere, neat place, very good food. I would give it 5* if we didn't feel that this year the food has deteriorated significantly.. the quality on our last 3 meals there (all within this summer) was average, a couple of times they didn't have some of our requested dishes and when I actually took the step to share my opinion on a dish we almost didn't touch, we got no explanation, no apology and no refund or a suggestion of something else. All four in my family enjoyed this place. We enjoyed the beer, the food, and the service. I think the biggest surprise was how excellent the service was. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and just extruded that special wholesome atmosphere. I was particularly impressed with a discussion of the type of fish served, where the waiter could relate different names from many cultures, languages, and varieties. My wife's burger was great, my grilled fish was great, my youngest's pasta with smoked salmon and my oldest's pork was also well received.
