i can count on one hand how many reviews i have written, but this is well-deserved. this place was incredible. my husband and i did not have a reservation, but arrived a little after prime dinner time and were seated promptly.

As a fellow Greek, i can admit that the service in Greece is usually…. not great — but not here. the service was excellent. the staff was so warm and welcoming. Georgia and Dionysis were so professional, yet kind. they were extremely attentive. what i loved most about the staff was how friendly and personable they were. Service here is 10/10.

The atmosphere and vibe is delightful. it is elevated, but not stuffy. Traditional taverna, but with a modern upscale twist. We sat right by the ocean and admired the view. this restaurant was perfect for a date night, as i was there, but also for families and larger groups. Also, the chairs were comfortable and not typical “taverna” chairs! 😆

Next, the food and wine — phenomenal. One of the most memorable meals I’ve had. The homemade bread came with a beet dip and a saltier whipped cheese dip, which was perfection. For appetizers we ordered the seafood lettuce rolls and the halloumi cheese. The lettuce rolls were absolutely incredible. the seafood filling was so flavorful. creative take on the classic “dolmathakia.” The halloumi is sourced from a monastery in Corinth and is divine. For entrees, I had the sea bream with boiled vegetables and my husband ordered the soutzoukakia. the fish was so tender while the skin was crispy perfection. boiled vegetables sound boring right? wrong! they were cooked perfectly and paired wonderfully with the fish. the soutzoukakia with the riced broccoli medley was out of this world. the beef was so tender. we enjoyed a delicious Assyrtiko blend that paired well with both dishes. the wine and cocktail menu was well curated.

lastly, the dessert. we shared the salted caramel millefeuille and the galaktoboureko with ouzo ice cream. i almost never order dessert at a restaurant because it is one of those things i love to enjoy in the comfort of my own home. however, this was an exception well worth it. i can’t decide which was better. i actually was left speechless.

after our bellies were full and happy, we ended the night with a delicious mastixa digestivo. we were able to meet the chef, Mr. Chrysanthos and staff, who were so humble and kind.

in short, this was a truly lovely experience and will be recommending this place to all friends and family that visit...

Good food but very small portions.

I understand its a gourmet and the concept is to try many different things, however even the main dishes were extremely small. For large parties you will most definitely have to order multiple portions of the small dishes as most of them only come with 3 servings

Now I did not get the chance to try many dishes I personally tried a seabass filet which was very tasty and well cooked but extremely small portion size to the point it takes 3 bites to eat. Portions would not satisfy anyone who is really hungry.

Staff was very helpful and very well trained. But apart from that I found other restaurants in the village to be far more worth it and value for money than this one.

Good food and gourmet food doesn't have to be necessarily expensive and small sized. However do have to acknowledge the very nice and tidy decoration of...

We can only give our warmest recommendation for this restaurant! From the very first moment, everything felt perfect. We were able to sit right on the beach and enjoy the most delicious food every dish was simply excellent. The chef clearly knows his craft, and the service was not only attentive but also genuinely kind and friendly, which made us feel truly welcome.

What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere. Our child happily built a sandcastle right in the sand beneath the restaurant, while we could relax and enjoy the meal. It was such a joy to have this combination of excellent cuisine, warm hospitality, and the unique beachside setting.

For us, it’s five stars without question. Thank you for this wonderful experience we will...

2024; An update - now we have been for our 4th time! We truly look forward to seeing Miss Georgia, Denisa - and the team at Anama! The local wines they promote are beautiful, and the quality of the menu, only ever improves. Thank you once again, for some great holiday memories Probably the best in Gialova. 2023; We absolutely loved our meal. The staff were so proud of their restaurant, and all their recommendations for wine and food were fabulous. The portion sizes for starters were such good value for money, and the quality was outstanding. I eat a vegetarian diet and they made me an off menu risotto. I was so grateful - and was delicious. Lime tart with turmeric ice cream for dessert was sensational.

"Anama" by Chrysanthos Karamolegos is a splurge restaurant specialising in creative Greek cooking. If you are lucky you will get a table on the terrace by the seaside. The sea view is definitely relaxing. The starters are typical of Karamolegos style. Creative and bustling with interesting flavours. On the other hand, the mains are just "OK" and certainly not value for money (the lobster spaghetti had an awkward tase of bouillon cubes). Enter the desserts: simply mouth washing! My advice, stick to the starters and enjoy the view with the help of the extensive list wine. Average service, steep prices.
