I hate to write negative reviews, but this is the case when the place is good and could be much better, but service needs to be improved. We were in this restaurant 3 years ago, and food and attitude were really great. I understand that this is a family restaurant and they trying to make everything with their own efforts, but this is not matching with prices in menu then. Maybe it was not a good day (Sunday evening), but anyway. We just managed to make an order, it was brought to us and no one approached us again during our entire stay in the restaurant! We were sitting and eating with only 1l of water for 5 people in quite hot evening, nobody came to ask how was the food and if we would like to order something else. We had to go and find the waiter to ask at least to bring a bill to be able to live this restaurant. I'm not saying even about that we wanted to order deserts, and water. It was just impossible. The restaurant was even less than half full, new people which came and then leave the restaurant without making an order managed to get way more attention from the waiters than our family. Read moreWe chose Notre Maison in Gialova after seeing its amazing reviews on TripAdvisor and Google Maps, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The area is beautiful, with a charming seaside promenade full of restaurants, and the atmosphere at sunset is simply magical.
At first, we were a bit skeptical: the menu seemed quite elaborate, and we were worried the kids wouldn’t find anything they’d like. But the staff was incredibly helpful and guided us perfectly. We had a lovely Greek rosé wine and simple yet tasty starters: local cheese, fresh bread, and olives.
For the main courses, everything was outstanding: I had a slow-cooked stew, tender and flavorful; my son had meat with mushrooms and truffle, which was excellent; and my wife enjoyed a tuna steak that was simply spectacular.

We ordered cayanas - scrambled eggs with tomato - cooked very lightly and differently from the traditional way but very well done. We ordered for main course four different entrées. Venison stew (stifado) slowly cooked with small onions cooked to perfection, fried beans with peppers, tomato and smoked pork, veal with aubergines and fried mayatiko (fish). The owner offered us a dessert galaktoboureko and orange cake very well made. Great espresso btw a rarity in most places in Greece. The wine list has only wines from the Peloponnese with a lot of surprises. The owner suggested a 2017 organic agiorgitiko from Nemea (Bizios).
