I was here tonight, the second time, first was last year, when we had a really nice dinner and we thought that we should come back again. Everything was as expected, good food, good service, just like the last time, but, unfortunately, tonight, something happened, that changed all these good impressions that I had about this place. We set at the table, where we were given the menus, of course, with the prices for each course and the waiter told us that, besides the menu, they have some other stuff that are not written in the menu, without telling us that, the beef that was not in the menu, was priced by 100 gr and of course that, as a coincidence, was exactly what I ordered and in the end, I was very surprised to see, when the bill came, that it was way higher than expected. When I asked what happened, that was the time when I was informed that, the beef had over 300 gr and of course the price was accordingly. I was really disappointed, the waiter said simply that he is sorry, but of course I had to pay, which I did, but, that made me feel ripped off, so of course that, I will not come back to this place and if, till tonight, I would recommend it, right now, I won't recommend this place, because I don't know if this won't happen again to other people, so, even if the food is good is up to you, if you want to risk it, to get...
Read moreAfter hearing rave reviews about this restaurant for the past year, my Greek relatives and I finally had the opportunity to dine there. We were not disappointed. The food was exquisite, and we enjoyed every bite.
The appetizers, including the Greek salad, tyrokafteri, fava, and bread, were a hit. Each dish was devoured quickly, a true testament to their quality. Moving on to the main course, we savored the grilled octopus, calamari, and porgy. The fish was deboned, making it easy to eat, and all dishes were exceptional. The calamari, in particular, stood out as the best my relatives had ever tasted.
While the portions were not overly generous, the quality of the food made up for it. We found the wine selection to be excellent, although it was only available by the glass. It was evident that the restaurant takes pride in sourcing their ingredients locally, as everything tasted fresh and flavorful.
Overall, our dining experience at this restaurant was worth the wait. We left feeling satisfied and looking forward to returning in the future. With delicious food, good wine, and a commitment to local sourcing, this restaurant has won us over. If you're in search of a top-notch dining experience, this place comes highly recommended. 5 stars...
Read moreWalking off the street, dressed for dinner, not the beach, we were stopped and asked if we had a reservation. No, but looking around all the (unreserved) tables, that wasn't a problem, so why ask? Anyway, to food. Starters were excellent and freshly made. The owner/ manager made a suggestion for a beetroot 'carpaccio' which was great. Zucchini balls were also very good. The menu lists wines only by the glass, yet other diners received a whole bottle. Why not list both if they are available? Main dishes were less appealing than the starters. Lamb chops were nicely barbecued, but served only with fries. My partner's pastitsio was good, but could've done with a few salad leaves to brighten the plate. Service was pleasant from the younger staff, but we got a weird vibe from the owner/ manager. He made conversation, but his mind was elsewhere, maybe on his 'favourite' diners who came in after us. He cleared the table cloth at the end of the meal while we were still seated, like he couldn't wait to get rid of us. So, in all, a bit odd. Food is good and priced to match. If your face fits, maybe you'll be made welcome,...
