Thallo Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Pyrgos

We had a really nice time here. The atmosphere is perfect, nobody was smoking around like in many Greek places, the tables are quite far apart which gives you privacy. There's a pool we didn't get into but was very tempting. The place was quiet with chill out music on the back, the waiter was very sweet and the employees very friendly.

They all wear aprons with Mexican Catrina's drawings, and that was fun!

Unfortunately, they didn't have vegetarian options despite the sign at the entrance saying otherwise. But the chef came up with some options and I ate a sort of Greek ratatouille that was good. We were in Katakolo on a Peloppenese road trip, and luckily for us, Thallo opened for the season on our last night there. A lovely warm welcome, fresh, tasty and well presented food at extremely reasonable prices. The beef Orzotto and the chicken fillet with remoulade were both outstanding. Other plates we saw being served looked amazing and smelled delicious. Only a short stroll from the harbour, our meal, including drinks, was only a couple of Euros less than 4 drinks in a harbour bar. Awesome concept with the pool open for use (what is better than a quick swim on these hot days before grabbing a drink on the terrace and then some food?), many seating options, and high attention to design/details. Staff is determined to make sure that everything is okay at all times and was very welcoming. The food was tasty and priced well.
