We came THREE DAYS in a row. THREE DAYS. And when we would debate about giving other traditional tavernas a chance, we would come to the realization that we ought not to assume we can find such spectacular dishes elsewhere.
Today’s kleftiko made me hear angel’s singing. I’m serious. I begged for the recipe. In a delirium, I may have offered my first born. Succulent lamb with potatoes, tomatoes and peppers slow roasted with cheese, honey and herbs and spices… best EVER. It will haunt my dreams.
The feta roasted in the oven is divine. The chickpea and zucchini fritters- both excellent. The roasted eggplant salad- I ordered it twice. Where do they source their ingredients? Some magic garden??? What is their secret? They say ‘love’. I cook with love but my cooking doesn’t taste like that! They make their own pita bread!! Yesterday we had stifado. My wife, son and I stopped off here when coming back from the petting zoo. What interested us most, was the restaurant was busy, and seemed to be a lot of local people dining!

Price point was very cheap, I was actually shocked at the prices!...

I'd say if you are looking for a fun, beautifully decorated and atmospheric restaurant, this place would be worth driving up from the coast. And if you like...
