Restaurant-Taverna Pigi Fasouli — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

17 years I am visiting Greece, had 13 trips to ditfferent islands and visited hundreds of Taverns. This is my fifth time on Rhodes now and its my favorite place in this country. Coming back to this Tavern every time feels like its my second home where the family that owns it will always prepare for me the best food, provide me great service and share the atmosfere of a Greak love with me! One of the best places I visited in all my life considering that I've been traveling ALL my life! The atmosphere of this place is just breathtaking, located in a small village inside of the hills of central Rhodos, sitting on a open terrace with a view of old trees and flower gardens a hot day is no problem, the slight breeze which is constantly here chills you down. So you are more hungry than on a HOT beach. I am a tzatziki lover, but this one beat the other 25 I tried in Greek restaurants. Everything is homemade, the staff of the restaurant is family and you can feel it. I am a foodie, this was just the best moment of this trip to Rhodos so far.... you don’t need to know anything else. Pigi Fasouli has been a great restaurant to dine in since my childhood years when we were playing at the nearby river while waiting for the food to come. It still serves delicious local food, at a pleasant environment (for grown ups and younger ones alike). Our favorite starters include dolmadakia (stuffed wine leaves) and kolokithokeftedes (fried mashed zucchini balls). As a main dish, we nowadays go for some slow cooked lamb, rooster or pork, but their grilled meat is always on point.
