This restaurant, once a reliable recommendation, has sadly fallen from grace. Upon arrival, I was promptly given the menu, but curiously, no wine list. Instead, I was encouraged to choose a wine without the faintest notion of the selection or prices. Unsurprisingly, the wine accounted for a hefty portion of the bill—so, a word to the wise: always insist on seeing the wine list. When I queried this with the waitress, the response was a muddled murmur, adding little to the already lacklustre service. The food had its moments. The mustard shrimp and stuffed squid were pleasant enough, though hardly memorable. The carpaccio, however, was overly salted, while the zucchini fritters were a complete misfire—how one manages to spoil such a simple dish is beyond me. The clams, at least, were fresh. What truly lets the place down is the service. Despite the wait to order being excessively long, they were unnervingly quick to clear plates before we were finished, giving the distinct impression that diners are more of an inconvenience than guests. Nice interior and white tablecloths, although many flies inside, at the window. The table is charged for service and bread (even if not ordered) 1.50e, per person.Their seafood salad comes with a cold mix of seafood, rubbery and not looking fresh, covered with sweet and sticky balsamic vinegar on a bed of some bitter tasting salad leaves. I couldn't eat that, it would be a disrespect to my body. So the owner explained "we always make it this way and nobody else complained". He didn't want to take it off the bill. On a hot day, I wanted to have a fresh lemonade, seeing that they have a basket full of lemons - they brought a canned lemon soda. Absolutely a great choice for sea food lovers. Upscale dishes and very polite and friendly service. Warm atmosphere,very clean and with beautiful sea view. Fresh salads and all kind of day catch fish from local fisherman. Remarkable is the tuna pastrami and tuna carpachio dishes. There is a great selection of local and domestic wines,spirits and beer.
