I would recommend visiting the place during off-peak hours.

Food: The food was excellent, and the pricing was reasonable.

Service: The staff is friendly, but they need more personnel. We waited for 15 minutes for someone to take our order, and then we waited for 50 minutes for our orders to arrive. The appetizer arrived together with the main dish!? Following that, we waited another 15 minutes to get someone's attention to pay the bill. I had to go to the bar to request the bill since no one noticed us. While they were attentive whenever we managed to get a few seconds of their time, they had to rush to other tables. I'm unsure whether it was an extremely busy night or if it's always like that, but that was our experience.

Atmosphere: The view is lovely, and the location is quite secluded. The music was satisfactory. However, the place was somewhat overcrowded...

Probably the best taverna we visited through all vacation. Place is amazing with a spectacular view to the beach. All surounded by olive and fig trees. Taverna itself is beautiful. Staff is very friendly. Food is fantastic. Portions are big. We ordered local fish and sea bass. The bill was a pleasant surprise as for sea bass, local fish, burger, greek salad, 2 orange and 2 cherry juice, 500ml local wine, ice cream and frape we paid only 61 euro. That was even cheaper than we paid for half the dishes in Afantou center.

Though google maps dirrctions was a bit misleading we found it. Maps lead us to nowhere but actually taverna was almost there just down the cliff, so we had to go down the road for couple of hundred meters and there was a sign to taverna. Go straight to cliff through narrow street. You wont be...

Really enjoyed a tasty homestyle meal. Up on the Hill above Stegna the Taverna has some lovely views to the Ocean and Stegna and the fort. There is some seating that has the best views so I would recommend booking to reserve those seats. Other seating in the open restaurant is up in the trees to provide a nice outlook also. We had the lamb chops, some aubergine dip and a Greek salad. All delicious super fresh produce used. Beer was nice and cold. Very reasonable pricing for good quality and delicious traditional homestyle food. Get there in time to enjoy the view...
