Paei Kairos: A Must-Visit Taverna in Rhodes!
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Paei Kairos twice during our trip to Rhodes, and each experience was nothing short of exceptional. This charming family-run taverna, tucked away in a peaceful corner of the island, instantly made us feel welcome with its warm and inviting atmosphere. You can tell they put their heart into everything they do, from the friendly service to the mouthwatering dishes. It’s clear that Paei Kairos is more than just a restaurant; it’s a labor of love.
We indulged in the mixed grill for dinner, a platter overflowing with succulent flavourful meats, cooked to perfection on the grill. For lunch, we opted for the moussaka, a traditional Greek dish that Paei Kairos elevates to new heights. Each bite was a symphony of textures and flavors, from the creamy béchamel sauce to the perfectly seasoned eggplant and minced meat. I must say, it was the best moussaka I've ever had. And despite the generous portions and outstanding quality, the prices remained very reasonable, making Paei Kairos a fantastic value for the discerning diner.
Beyond the delectable food, what sets Paei Kairos apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the family who runs it. They greet every guest with a smile and make you feel like part of their extended family. Even their adorable dog adds to the charm, eager to welcome patrons with a wagging tail and a friendly nudge.
It's no wonder we're already planning a third visit before our trip ends. Paei Kairos has quickly become one of our favorite dining spots on the island, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Greek dining experience. If you're in Rhodes, do yourself a favor and check out this hidden gem. You won't be...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants if you're looking for some homecooked style food at the most affordable prices I've seen on the whole island.
We had some garlic bread and tzatziki for starters and they were wonderful. Pretty big portions too for the price.
I also had a mousaka which was a bit oily, reminded me of the one I make at home when I put a bit too much olive oil, but it was also a big portion, well seasoned and served with a side of salad. And all that for less than 10€. I had other mousakas on the island for way more and they were half the portion size.
The service was amazing as well, our server was very sweet and even gave us some complementary dessert which we were too full to eat but we had to make room. That one was delicious as well.
Overall an under-rated and an amazing little restaurant which is a bit out of the way from the main attractions unfortunately but it is 100%...

The food is simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, we enjoyed each bite. The portions are impressively generous, leaving you fully satisfied, yet craving just a bit more because it's that good.
The pricing is more than reasonable, especially considering the portions and the quality of the food. It’s rare to find such value in a dining experience these days. Whether you’re out with family or friends, this restaurant is a perfect choice for a delightful meal in a charming setting. Highly recommended! We...
