Good food but sneaky tactics. The fish I ordered (red mullet and bogue) was very fresh and beautifully cooked. The Greek salad was lovely all portions were fairly big.

The bit that was sneaky was they bring over a bottle of water as soon as you sit down. This is not complementary and cost nearly €2. I sent this back straightaway but 5 minutes later another waiter bought it back and attempted to leave it on my table. I politely told him I didn't order this and he should take it back which he did.

When I saw my bill, guess what, they had charged me for the bottle of water and another item I didn't order (bread that came with my mains). I asked for the bottle of water to be removed and they obliged. Didn't ask for the bread as I ate a bit from it (without knowing there will be a charge).

I feel, with the view from the restaurant (which is beautiful BTW) and the good quality of food, they don't need to resort to these sort of tactics.

The bill was €32 euro for one person. I ordered the two different fish and one Greek salad. This does seem a bit high but the fish was of good quality and plentiful. They also gave me complementary cake (yes, this was indeed free) which was delicious. After I praised the cake, they were kind enough to put 2 extra slices in the box for me to take away.

All in all, a very good restaurant with few questionable tactics that...

This place offers fresh fish, amazing cooking and very fast service while been full occupied. The waiters are super sweet and gentle. The portions of food are double in compare to any other fish restaurant I have been in Athens. Comparing the prices to the portion the are above fair exchange and I say they exchange in abundance. You can smoke in the open area and you can enjoy the amazing view and seagulls! There is nothing literally to say which could be negative. Yes the bring bottled water and it cost 2 bloody euros and they should do it, cause the have so much people to serve and they do so fast and I do not expect them to waste time on filling up water pots. The offer free desert in the end! The place offers the exact classic graphical Greek fish taverna and thats it and that is how it should be. Any negative reviews just ignore them and come here! This was my first time, but it will not be the last… and getting fresh wild fish for these prices is beyond fair, anywhere else around Athens you...

This place has a beautiful view, the portion sizes are big and generally the food quality is good, but we had a few issues.

Firstly, when we ordered, because we knew portion sizes vary, we asked that what we ordered was the right amount for two people, and we were told yes but it was way too much - which I think the next point is relevant to.

One of the plates we ordered was 500g of grilled squid. This eventually arrived after we had finished all of the other food. We ate most of it because we didn't want to waste anything but it was overcooked. We then had to ask for the bill twice (they weren't busy, the staff had been standing around drinking coffee and eating snacks), then when it arrived it turns out we had been given 700g - I get it, you can't get an exact size squid but we were not told and this added an additional 10€ to the bill which we weren't expecting.

They give you a nice little ice cream dessert at the end but but overall I have been to better places...

A great restaurant right on the waters edge serving local dishes. The views over the sea are amazing and perfectly compliments the food. We visited about 4pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was busy with all the tables overlooking the sea full. There is parking right next door with space for about 30 cars. We had the small seafood platter and pork steak with chips for the kids to share. We also had a side of olives and bread and fried courgette. The seafood platter was enough for two with octopus, calamari, fried baby squid, small fried fish and shrimp. The pork steak was large and fed the kids with enough left over for me to have some. At €9.80 it was great value compared to what you get in the UK. The only disappointment was that the chips should be crisper but this seems to be how they cook them in Greece as we had the same in a few restaurants we ate at. All together I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal with amazing views.

Galini, located right on the beachfront of Palaia Fokaia, offers a delightful dining experience with stunning sea views. The fresh seafood is the star of the menu, cooked to perfection with traditional Greek flavors. The ambiance is both relaxing and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal by the water. The service is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're enjoying a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, Galini combines excellent food with a picturesque setting, making it a must-visit when in Palaia Fokaia.
