On our first day in Sifnos staying in Kamares the restaurant Simos was recommended by a local as being authentic to the region - not a souvlaki in sight. The tables were organised in such a way as a sea view was there - the beaches in Kamares have been awarded a blue flag - little fish were swimming everywhere and visible from our table. We also had a greek salads which was lovely and cheese croquettes consumed with much gusto. My friend had a glass of red wine which was dry as promised and according to her perfectly drinkable and 2euros did not exactly break the bank…. Looking down, Basically saying that I didn't put enough. It ruined the entire experience for me, because the food was great, but as a paying customer, I shouldn't be treated like this at the end. What a pity. Especially that for dining solo, my bill was a good one for them. I ate at other restaurants on this Island and it is the only place where it happened. Wish I could put more stars, but eating out is all about the after taste, and here...

The picturesque view of Kamares Bay from the tavern added an extra layer of charm to the whole dining experience. Whether you're a local or a traveler, O Simos is an absolute must-visit for an unforgettable...
