AVOID - Go Somewhere Else !!!
We ordered Calamari OK, Grilled Shrimps Ok, sea bass fillet - very salted, Pork chops very salted, we could feel the salt crunch in your mouth, ordered French fries and were not well cooked and had no taste, also got mussels with rice for our 2 years old kid and it was very spicy and salted, i told the owner about it and he said he would ask to cook another portion, guess what it came more spicy then first time. We ordered Greek salad and it never came so we canceled it. Also We ordered fresh sea bass per kg (50$/kg) and first of all it took 1.5h to be prepared, I wanted to cancel the order because I lost the appetite, but they said we need only 5 more minutes and it’s ready, so we waited and instead of bringing 1 fish per portion they put 2 fishes in 1 plate, when each fish was on different bills and it was at two different ends of the long table. I asked to put them on 2 different plates and they did not like that request. When I ordered fish they said it’s 25 euro per fish weighing 500 g, I paid my bill and I left, and my sister payed her bill they charged her 30 euros for the fish which was initially said 500g/25euros. In my opinion neither of the 2 fishes weighed 500g, they were smaller then that, we ate lots of fish during our 3 weeks vacation in Greece and we know how a 0.5 kg fish looks like.
So in general we were very disappointed with food quality, also with Service.
The toilet is disgusting, the kitchen looks very old and outdated as the entire taverna, and The very high prices do not meet the criteria!!!
The only one Good thing we enjoyed that evening was the live Greek musical program, beautiful voices and relaxing music.
In conclusion They are not capable of dealing with big orders, The Prices is Higher then at To Simadi and Paradeisos Tavernas, and they are far from competing with them. So I would not return at Akrogiali and I won’t recommend it...

We ordered many different (vegetarian) appetizers to have an authentic Greek experience. They came really fast which supported my impression that the food is not really fresh but rather deep-frozen. It looked quite good but that’s all positive we can say. The dishes were almost cold and the taste was average, so nothing special. The french fries were not well prepared, still partly frozen inside and without any spices. The prices didn’t match the quality and there was a random fee of 4€ added - maybe a tip, we don’t know since it wasn’t explained. The service was quite friendly but not really good, after bringing us the food no one came for 1 hour to ask if it was okay or whether we wanted something else. Then we called them to ask for the bill and waited a very long time until someone came back to us. In addition, on the way home I had a bad stomach pain, so I don’t think the food was of high quality. All in all, we cannot recommend this restaurant if you are not only looking for a nice location but also for good and...
Read moreWhile staying nearby, we went for an evening walk along the beach and stumbled upon this lovely taverna, located right on the shore. The sea breeze and the sunset view created a truly relaxing atmosphere.
The waiter was quick to take our order, and everything seemed to be going well—until the kids’ meals (two portions of chicken nuggets) didn’t arrive. We followed up two or three times and were repeatedly told they were coming soon. Unfortunately, the food finally arrived only after the adults had almost finished eating.
To make up for the delay, they kindly offered us some watermelon slices as a complimentary dessert, which we appreciated.
The overall experience was pleasant, but more attention should definitely be given to children’s meals. Timing is essential, especially when...
