Gyros Asteris — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

I rarely write bad reviews...but this was by far the worst gyros and souvlaki I have ever tasted in my life...and being Greek, from Thessaloniki, I have tried a lot of these! Very low food quality of gyros and tasteless souvlaki. It felt like they only wanted to exploit the busy touristic resort of Toroni and they didn't put any love in the preparation of the dishes.

If you're not Greek and you don't have any benchmark to compare, you will probably find this food ok...or you will be completely disappointed by the most popular of all dishes "gyros" and "souvlaki". But unfortunately this is only a bad representation of this type of food and it's worth trying it again somewhere decent.

Great food and a great place for unpretentious customers in terms of environment. The place is perfect for a quick dinner with small children. There were many kids running around the tables and shouting at the time we visited and the parents did not pay any attention that it was uncomfortable for some tables.. it was just a little too much for us and it is resulted in the rating.
