Anamnesia Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Sitia

I spent a really good time at the bistro Anamnesia and was very pleased by everything I ate and drunk there. So much that I came back the next day and the day after for dinner. I took an "Anamnesia" salad (sweet and sour mix of green salad, bacon, dried and fresh fruits), a pizza that I could compose myself from the menu, I also recommend the fresh local fish soup, made on demand from the fish caught by the people of the house. Georgia is truly charming and willing to serve her guests. Above all, I was satisfied by the good value for money. This bistro also is a café snack bar serving soft drinks, local wines, ice creams and various refreshments that I enjoyed after the visit of the outstanding ruins of the Minoan palace nearby. This place really is ideal to relax almost into the sea during your holiday in Crete in Kato Zakros. Anamnesia means "reminiscence" and maybe here will you find memories of a past life--in Greece of course !

J'ai passé un très bon moment au bistro Anamnesia. Ce que j'y ai dégusté m'a beaucoup plu: une salade Anamnesia (mélange sucré-salé de salade verte, bacon fruits frais de saison et fruits secs), une pizza que j'ai composée à partir du menu. Pour les amateurs de poisson, la soupe de poisson frais pêché par la maison est un régal. Tous les plats sont réalisés sur place et la plupart à la demande. Ce bistro est également un café snack bar où l'on peut profiter de rafraîchissements après la visite des remarquables ruines minoennes toutes proches. Ce fut une excellente surprise rapport qualité prix et Georgia est une maîtresse de maison charmante et disponible. Anamnesia est réellement un endroit idéal pour se relaxer les pieds dans l'eau pendant ses vacances en Crète à...

I had the pleasure of dining at Anamnesia in Kato Zakros, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I arrived, I was always made to feel welcome. The staff are warm and friendly, going out of their way to ensure that every guest feels comfortable and at home.

The food is outstanding, with fresh, local ingredients prepared to perfection. Every meal is enhanced by the taverna’s incredible location, right on the beach. Sunbeds are provided for customers, so you can relax and enjoy the view while savoring your meal. The sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore creates a serene backdrop, making the dining experience even more special.

Μένω στην Γαλλία. Πηγαίνω στην Κρήτη για διακοπές πάνω από 10 χρόνια. Μου έχει κάνει τόση εντύπωση η Κάτω Ζάκρος, ένα μικρό χωριό, και ιδιαίτερα το bistro "Anamnesia" που πραγματικά στολίζει αυτό το μέρος, με την φρεσκάδα του, την ομορφιά του, την τοποθεσία του που είναι ακριβώς μπροστά στην θάλασσα, όλα αυτά από φυσικής άποψης, αλλά και η κουζίνα της "Anamnesia " με τις αυθεντικές συνδιασμένες σαλάτες που προτείνει για όλα τα γούστα και η επιλογή που προσφέρεται από το snack-bar (τυρόπιτες, σπανακόπιτες, μυζιθροπιτες με μέλι, ντάκος, πίτσες σπιτικές (on demand), burgers, σουβλάκια... Και ιδίως το φρέσκο ψάρι του Ποσειδώνιου Κωστή, είτε στην σχάρα είτε στο φούρνο είτε σε σούπα ("κακαβια") απ' τα μαγικά χέρια της Σταυρούλας. Υπάρχει και μια επιλογή από διάφορα σπιτικά γλυκά (γαλακτομπουρεκο, cheesecake κτλ.). Και όλα αυτά υπό την επίβλεψη της Γωγώς, μία Νερείδα που βγήκε κατευθείαν από την θάλασσα της Κρήτης· πάντα γελαστή, καλοσυνάτη, φιλόξενη, επαγγελματικά υπεύθυνη, γρήγορη, εξυπερέτικη. Όσον αφορά την σχέση ποιότητας και τιμής είναι από τις καλύτερες πού μπορεί να βρεί κανείς. 100 μέτρα δίπλα σε ένα από τους πιο αξιόλογους και σημαντικούς αρχαιολογικους χώρους της Μινωικής Κρήτης να επισκεφτείτε.

Je réside en France. Je passe mes vacances en Crète depuis plus de dix ans. J'ai été très impressionné par Kato Zakros, ce petit village, et particulièrement par le bistro "Anamnesia" qui embellit réellement cet endroit avec sa fraîcheur, sa beauté, son emplacement qui se trouve exactement devant la mer (les pieds dans l'eau). Voilà pour le cadre. La cuisine est excellente avec ses salades de composition originales qui conviennent à tous les goûts et le choix proposé par le snack bar (tyropites, spanakopites, souvlakia, pizzas maison, burgers) et surtout le poisson frais du pêcheur "poseidonien" Kosti soit au grill, soit au four ou en soupe (kakavia) faite par les mains magiques de Stavroula. Le tout sous la supervision de Géorgia, une Néréide sortie tout droit de la mer de Crète, toujours souriante, accueillante, bienveillante et très efficace. Le rapport qualité prix est l'un des meilleurs que l'on puisse trouver. "Anamnesia" est situé à 100 m à côté de l'un des plus importants et remarquables sites archéologiques de la Crète Minoenne.

I live in France and I go on holidays in Crete for more than 10 years. I was impressed by Kato Zakros, a small village, and particularly by the Bistro "Anamnesia". Which truly adorns this place with it's freshness, it's beauty, it's location right in front if the sea. That's it with the location. But the cuisine of Anamnesia is excellent. With it's originally composed salads for all tastes and the choice available from the snack-bar (tyropites, spanakopites, homemade pizzas on demand, burgers, souvlakia...) but above all the poseidonian fisherman Kostis' fresh fish either grilled or in the oven or in soup (kakavia) from Stavroula's magical hands. All this under Georgia's overlooking, a Nereid who came out directly of the sea of Crete, always smiling, welcoming, benevolent, fast and efficient. It's one of the best value for money one can find.
