Ταβέρνα "Μπέμπης" — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

Excellent location, next to the sea. If you are spending whole day at Gardenos beach it's more than you could wish for. It's literally next to beach sun beds. Service there is 5 stars, everyone is very friendly. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious. We had Greek salad, grilled octopus and sea bream. Excellent choices. Octopus was the best we have ever tasted, juicy and crispy on the outside with little charcoal tasting. Sea bream, simply perfect. Fresh, juicy and full of flavour. That's how sea food should be - fresh, simple and cooked to perfection . Very tasty Greek salad to combine with our dishes for extra freshness. Waiting time was very short. We were there on work day and it was not fully packed with people. On morning we also grabbed iced lattes. They were made from "barista style" expresso coffee (not from instant coffee) and...

This place is an absolute gem...I haven't said this before but I'm a cook...chef if you will and been here a dozen times by the beach.. But never have this place a chance since it's near the water. I just figured that the places by the beach are the only places to go to so I figured it wouldn't be that good..Boy was I wrong. This place is amazing.. And I highly recommend you go there. It's by the beach so the view is absolutely amazing.. Great music.. Great people.. Food.. Forget about it... Insanely good and perfect......

Horrible. I was really disappointed. Six years ago I went to this restaurant and they had the most amazing Gyros (now I have just removed that review and I am posting this one).

The pork souvlaki had a gummy texture and it was bland (marinating meat goes a long way in cooking and barbecuing). The other this, "pancetta strips" was also really bad. Burnt, if I wasn't starving I would not have tasted it.

And, icing on the cake, was the stomachache, followed by a rushed drive back to our accomodations. Avoid...
