Firstly the food was OK, means higher than avarage. Service was terible. We waited around 15 minutes somebody to came and clean the table from previous usage and to bring menus. Atosphere - again terible! We were pushed to move the table, just because they merge few other tables to acomodate other big company. We expected a calm ambient, but it was not. A lot of noise from other tables and nobody from the staff cares about it. A lot of loudly speaking people, even sometimes screaming during their laughs, again not reaction from the staff to calm down those people. A lot of screaming kids with parents who did not care about the noise produced by their kids, yes they are kids, but parents are parents and they are on a public place.
So i do not recommend to go there for lunch.
PS: As i cannot answer to your answer, i edit my answer to add a note. As you mention "mutual respect" - this means to respect all other guest on the restaurant (100 guests, as you mentuon), do i am right. If there were mutual respect i will not have to write...

We may have just caught an off moment, but we did feel the staff came across a little distant. It could be that they're not quite used to tourists, which is completely understandable.
One thing we did notice was that the cleanliness of the toilets seemed to decline over time during our visit. Given the beachside location, it's understandable, but a bit more attention there would make a big difference.
Overall, this place has so much potential to be truly amazing—especially considering the prices. With just a few small improvements, it could be...
Read moreWe visited Taverna Baratos last night after an extensive google search for where to eat with kids in the area. The staff were very friendly and apologised that although we could have a table it wouldn't be at the front "for the views". We weren't bothered as wherever you looked it was beautiful. The taverna is very laid back and Family orientated and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and there was a wide range of foods on the menu that catered for the fussy eaters among us. There was something for everyone. My 9 yr old daughter said she loved this place and wanted to come...
