Cannot fathom the high ratings for this place. The food is bland and not fresh. Many of the dishes are not made of fresh ingredients and it shows. I ordered the liver. It arrived unfit to eat. It fell apart like ground beef, a sign it had been in the freezer for a long time. It doesn’t appear the management is very experienced with Greek cuisine and presentation; very average at best. There are numerous other fine places to eat great Greek food within a few kilometers of this place. One positive aspect is the outdoor balcony area that overlooks the ocean. This is a nice place to sit and have a drink while enjoying the view. Just don’t eat the food.

Since the original post the owner has accused me of not having been at his restaurant at all. In reality, I have come three times in order to be fair and make a decent judgment, once with a party of four of us who all were in agreement with my comments. The owner says he would have remembered who ordered the liver in the last 20 days. We came here with a large group of 14 (family group) as it was about 1/2 Mike walk from our apartments. The food was fantastic, lots of Greek dishes. The restaurant is family run and the were so helpful. We stayed quite late (we were the only people there on one night) and were singing which the family seemed to enjoy as they came out to listen. We drank all their local beer so they had to go to neighbours for more beer!! We arranged to go back at the weekend (a few days later) when they had music and dancing and a large baby naming...

This was new to us after previously visiting syros and what a wonderful addition to meglio giallos is it. Food really good, excellent service and a great view. We were the only patrons there but we were eating very early evening but the atmosphere was pleasant as well as the welcome and service was excellent. True Greece in one place. Would highly recommend. We ate in emopolis last night, thus place a 1000 times better...
