Allegro — Restaurant in Municipality of Thessaloniki

I cannot recommend this establishment. While the view was breathtaking, the customer service was the worst I have ever encountered. The manageress was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful.

We were performing at the concert hall next door and informed the staff upon arrival that we had limited time to eat before our second performance. We were assured that this would not be an issue. However, after placing our order quickly, we waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive, leaving us with insufficient time to enjoy our meal. We hastily consumed what we could before having to leave.

When it came time to pay, the manageress was unhelpful and unapologetic, failing to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the delay. I requested a discount due to the circumstances, but she refused and did not offer any form of apology. Her demeanor was rude and confrontational, leaving me feeling extremely disappointed and disrespected. This experience overshadowed the entire visit, and I would not consider returning or recommending this...

I had been to Allegro for a cup of coffee before, and decided to go there with my family for dinner. Unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed due to the following reasons:

While in the middle of COVID-19 outbreak, the staff was not following any health security measures. Their masks were just for decor, not covering their mouth and nose. They were talking while serving our food, making us feel very uncomfortable. Masks should not be just for show or in case an inspection takes place.

Not sufficient social distancing. The tables were too close together.

Food was mediocre. For example, the bruschetti were terrible. The bread was not even normal bread you can get at any local bakery shop, it was sliced bread used for toast, the one you get in plastic wrapping from the supermarket! The tagliata was not great either, and we were surprised not being asked how we would like it cooked, in fact it was served overdone.

Overall it is a nice place for coffee or drink with a view, but better spend your money...

I had very bad experience with the personal and the lady manager of this coffeehouse. They treat customers with arrogance and snobbish manner. When I tried to express my dismay to the lady manager as why I can't be re-seated in the smoking section, she in turn started to find different excuses, such as that we are full and others want to be replaced as well to the smoking section, but this can't be possible and it's forbidden. The way she continued to monolog without giving me the chance to further express my ideas was excessively intolerable and highly irritating. Even if she was right, which by any chance she wasn't, she had to respect me as a customer and remember the famous phrase, "the customer is always right"! For the aforementioned reason, I strongly recommend to all not visit this place...
