Cafe Le Monde — Restaurant in Municipality of Thessaloniki

With an excellent position at the southern end of the seafront strip, quite close to the Concert Hall, Café Le Monde is ideal for a drink and a meal as the sun sets over the Gulf of Thessalonica. The local wine was extremely good; the food menu is fairly western in that it focuses on burgers, pizza, sausage, omelettes, charcuterie platters and salads. However, it does these very well and the serving staff are outstanding - not only attentive and courteous, but happy to engage with their customers. My party stayed four nights in the city and spent two of them here. With so much choice of restaurants, bars and cafes, that tells you a lot about its charm. Summary: Highly recommended...

Café pas loin de la mer, style 'parisien'...fin, ce que les grecs ont dans leur tête quand ils parlent des café 'parisien'. Ou, encore mieux, ce à quoi les cafés parisiens devraient ressembler. Franchement, le design est magnifique. En plus, quand on commande de la bière ou de l’alcool, il y a toujours des petits goûtés et d'autres accompagnements qui arrivent offerts... Ici on rencontre la générosité de la culture grecque, qui existe dans peu d'endroit dans le monde!!! A Paris en tout cas, on ne retrouve pas ce genre de café. Impossible.

Coté négatif, c'est la musique qui est parfois trop forte - et il y a trop de fumée à l'intérieur.. ça vaut le coup de s’asseoir dehors - quand il y a du monde à l'intérieur c'est insupportable. Et oui, les grecs fument comme des cheminées et il faut l accepter.

Nice café near the sea, Parisian style. Excellent service and delicious coffee. Το καφέ - μπαρ "Cafe Le Monde" βρίσκεται στην οδό Μαρία Κάλλας, στην νέα παραλία της Θεσσαλονίκης, σε μικρή απόσταση από το Μέγαρο Μουσικής. Βρίσκεται εκεί περίπου 25 χρόνια και είναι ίσως το παλιότερο στην περιοχή. Η πρόσβαση σ΄ αυτό είναι πολύ εύκολη, όμως το παρκάρισμα εξαιρετικά δύσκολο, εκτός εάν επιλέξετε το πάρκινγκ επί πληρωμή δίπλα στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής. Ο εσωτερικός χώρος με κλασική διακόσμηση, διαχρονική. Ο εξωτερικός χώρος μεγάλος, προστατευμένος και με θέρμανση για τον χειμώνα. Έχει και πατάρι με μπαλκόνι, με ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα, που σε εμπνέει. Η θέα από από το μαγαζί στην θάλασσα είναι υπέροχη και ειδικά από τον επάνω όροφο. Περισσότερη προσοχή χρειάζεται η καθαριότητα στις τουαλέτες, οι οποίες είναι πού μικρές για τον όγκο των επισκεπτών του μαγαζιού. Αυτά που προσφέρει το μαγαζί είναι καλής ποιότητας και προσεγμένα. Πάρα πολλές επιλογές σε καφέδες, ποτά, κοκτέιλ, μπύρες, μικρά γεύματα και γλυκά, για όλες τις ώρες της ημέρας και για όλα τα γούστα. Εξυπηρέτηση γρήγορη και με καλή διάθεση.
