A truly disappointing experience—both in food and service. I ordered the chicken breast piccata with pasta (κοτόπουλο φιλέτο πικάτα με φρέγκολα και φρέσκα μυρωδικά), and for the first time in my life, I couldn’t eat more than a single bite. The pasta was sour with an unpleasant fishy odor, and the chicken tasted like it had been reheated after days in the fridge. It was not just unappetizing—it was inedible. When I politely raised my concerns with the staff, their response was shockingly unprofessional. They claimed the chef had a Michelin star, which, based on the dish I was served, seems not just improbable but impossible. No offer to remake the dish, no refund, no gesture of goodwill—just a dismissive apology. To make matters worse, the waiter brought an extra drink we hadn’t ordered and refused to take it back, insisting it had already been added to our bill. This kind of service is unacceptable anywhere, let alone at a restaurant that claims fine dining credentials. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely awful. During our recent trip to Agios Nikolaos in Mani, we stumbled upon this charming Italian restaurant, and it was a delightful surprise! The setting is cozy and authentic, nestled in the heart of the village with a beautiful view.
The menu offers a great selection of traditional Italian dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We started with the bruschetta, which was perfectly crisp and flavorful. For the main course, we had the homemade pasta, which was cooked to perfection and paired with a rich and savory sauce that transported us straight to Italy. Αlso, the pizza Tartufata was beyond every expectation as well !
The service was warm and friendly, making us feel like part of the family. The owner took the time to chat with us and even recommended a fantastic local wine that complemented our meal perfectly.
Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the area. It’s a perfect blend of Italian culinary tradition and Greek hospitality. We’ll definitely be back on our next...
Read moreLuna Piccola is a great addition to Agios Nikolaos village! Everything on the menu is super fresh and tasty because they use stuff from around here. The pizzas are out of this world! The crust is crispy and the toppings are a perfect mix of local cheeses and meats. The "Mani" Pizza is a must try that has a local twist that's super delicious. Their pasta is also amazing. We tried the ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta – and the carbonara was creamy and rich, just how it should be.
The restaurant itself is really cozy and has a nice vibe. It's perfect for a romantic dinner or hanging out with friends. And the staff is super friendly and helpful.
If you're ever in Agios Nikolaos, you have to check out...
