Come for the view, stay for the mastic liqueur! We were first seated at the back, which was a bit disappointing, but after seeing the people come for one reserved table by the outer wall and decide they didn't want to sit there, we asked if we could move and take it, which the staff were happy to let us do, and that made a real difference to the evening. The staff were brilliant throughout, it must be said! The menu perhaps isn't the most interesting in town (disappointing to see the majority of the seafood dishes are frozen products). Tried the smoked trout, which was a very small portion for the price, and while the fish itself was tasty it was almost overwhelmed by the huge amount of salt spread unnecessarily on it. The grilled chicken was fine although a bit bland and did not have the beautiful smoky grill flavour a lot of the other restaurants in the area manage to get, but the fava bean puree with smoked sausage was really interesting. Overall a bit overpriced for what's on offer, but a nice experience...
Read moreAround a month ago Ormos acquired a new chef, Panos whose experiences in Athens and other European venues, as well as London has served him well. His philosophy is quite simple and the remarkable flavours that he elicits from the menu’s classic dishes are exceptional. The Fish Soup with Shrimp and Kalamari, infused with Turmeric was sumptuous, the Shrimp Linguine worthy of presentation in any Italian establishment. Fried Cod the batter of which resembled tempura-absolutely succulent. Local Kardamyli White Wine-perfect accompaniment to an exceptional meal in an exceptional restaurant with a learned and transformative chef. Our last meal of a 3 day sojourn in Kardamyli and easily the most impressive. Lastly the staff were informative and welcoming. We thank all of you for such a memorable visit....

Just a few hours after dining here, I developed serious symptoms of food poisoning and had to seek medical attention. That alone is unacceptable. On top of that, I was surprised to see that most of the plates, glasses, and utensils were labeled “Made in Turkey” — quite disappointing for a restaurant in Greece that is expected to showcase Greek hospitality and quality. While the flavors were promising, the lack of hygiene, attention to detail, and authenticity ruined the experience for me. I cannot recommend this place and hope it gets inspected by the proper...
