The food was good and the view is excellent. The bad rating is for the owners attitude. When we arrived there were two cats that sat next to our table. I ordered fish and the cats were asking for food. I started giving the cats some of my fish leftovers. We were the only people in the restaurant at a time and the waiter was right there and I am sure he could see what was going on. The two owners also started to eat at a table behind ours at some point and might have also seen that I am giving my fish leftovers to the cats and nobody mentioned anything to me... the cats were happy and I ended up giving them all my leftovers. When the owner stopped by the table he started scolding me about making a mess. Then his wife joined him and explained to me that they don't pay their employees to cleanup the mess. I cleaned all the leftovers from the floor with napkins (although the cats were doing a pretty good job in consuming all of them). I told them that if they don't want people feeding the cats in the restaurant they should make a sign. The lady said that there are laws protecting the cats. I travel alot and in many restaurants if there is a pet coming to your table, its not forbidden to feed them usually... the comment about me making a mess is totally ridiculous as what if I made a mess by accident... I feel their attitude should get better! They also offer you bread and water when you arrive. I assumed the bread was complimentary but it wasn't... I was charged 3.60EUR for the bread. The bread was a plain bread and I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They brought me a teeny tiny bottle of olive oil and to my surprise they charged me 2 EUR for that!! They were out of balsamic (luckily as I am not sure how much they would of charge for that...). They also put water on your table without asking you if you want it (they didn't ask if you want a bread either and gave no warning that the olive oil is extra charge). All in all not a good experience (despite the amazing view from the restaurant, cute...
Read moreAwful attitude! We went in for a small bite to eat and a drink before we carried on our journey. The young lad who served us was very nice, the food that we ate was also very nice. What wasn’t nice was receiving the bill to find they had charged us €6.10 for bread and water that we didn’t consume. When I queried this both with the boy waiter and, who I can only assume to be the manager, very politely started taking these items off the bill. What surprised me was the female chef in the kitchen who started speaking in English (not to me but to the owner) that those charges were put on to pay for her oil, to pay for the table cloth and for the pleasure of dining in the restaurant and that if we didn’t understand how a restaurant works we should go and eat at a park ‘idiots’ was what we were called. It didn’t stop there, after we were called idiots she then started shouting the same excuses to me from behind the pass. Being called an idiot once I can tolerate, but then the accusations that we don’t understand how restaurants work really ruffled my feathers. I have managed restaurants in England so I very much do understand how a restaurant works. This is our first time in Greece and all the other places we have visited ASK if you would like bread and water, don’t just chuck it on the bill. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting and to start shouting at us across the restaurant was absolutely absurd. If you’re really that precious about your oil and table clothes may I suggest you account for these in the food price and not by chucking on items onto a bill that weren’t had. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour, very much seems like a money grabbing establishment. Will not be recommending and will not be going back. Watch out you don’t have items you didn’t pay for...
