This is my personal experience as a local on Paros. We visited the restaurant due to compliments regarding the location and food. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not reach the standards and positive comments. It is definitely a beautiful traditional local spot, but as a local it is something I am used to. Service was okay, unfortunately the food, especifically what I ordered was not what I expected … I ordered lamb chops which were described in the menu as a 350/400 g portion, it was not even 200 g and hardly any meat on the little bones. The French fries I expected were not French fries, but another style which were not expected as description, the Greek salad was tiny but tasty. Value for money €65 for two people was too expensive for what we had. Above all when we wanted to have a smoke they asked us to sit on a bench opposite and not our table, which we found wrong as this policy does not exist by any law, no matter the restaurant, we were sitting outside in a public area which was used by the restaurant. Unfortunately, another tourist prospective restaurant, with no actual authenticity and...
Read moreWatch out for scams! We asked the waitress (the one in blonde hair) if we can order pita bread and she told us that it is included if we order tzatziki. We asked her again to confirm it and she did. Later on we received recipe written in greek and it was bigger than we expected, we started to count it and the recipe included ordering two unknown things, we asked the waitress to translate it and she told us it was 2x pita bread. So the recipe included ordering two times pita bread and tzatziki. The waitress was trying to fool us by telling that she didn’t know that it isn’t included, but she wasn’t even trying to apologize, we can smell the bullshit from a mile away. So we had to pay more because of lying waitress. Luckily it wasn’t much, but still it is a lie and a way to scam tourists.
food was okay, nothing special, you basically are paying a lot...
Read moreOur trip to Lefkes led us to this quaint restaurant. As we were wandering the cobblestone streets, we walked past this restaurant and checked out the menu. It had items other than seafood, which the kids were thrilled about. We agreed to come back here for lunch. It was a hot day and we got a nice spot in the shade and we're one of the few early patrons. I'm glad we got there when we did because it got full very quickly.
We got the smoked eggplant, risotto, burger and the gouna fish. The Gouna fish was my favorite. The burger was without buns. The portions are very generous and the plating is of a high end restaurant. Attention to detail !!. They also give you these spreads with bread which were unique. One was made with turmeric and one was with beets and garlic. The staff is so friendly and we loved...
