If I could give a lower rating, I would.
They did not provide us with a menu, so we couldn't know the prices. We paid 27 euros for a piece of spinach pie, one plate of gnocchi, and the welcome plate which consisted of 3 dips. They should have informed us that the welcome plate costs 5 euros. It was overpriced and unacceptable.
Everything was overly expensive. The piece of pie cost 9 euros and the gnocchi 13 euros, especially the pie was extremely expensive. The gnocchi was supermarket-bought and overly cooked, the pie was terrible, and both dishes had just come out of the microwave.
We had also ordered another dish that never arrived. When they brought us the bill, we mentioned it, and they didn't even apologize.
The bill was 27 euros, but they mistakenly charged us 27.5 euros on the card. I wouldn't have asked for a refund, but because it was overly expensive, and they were also rude, I asked for it, and their displeasure was evident, even though it was their own mistake. Again, they didn't apologize for the mistake. Of course, when we left, they didn't speak to us at all, another indication of their rudeness.
The good thing is that the ambiance is very beautiful, and it genuinely feels like being on a home terrace (because that's what it...

This restaurant alone would have managed to shatter the 'sweet Greek' mindset for me at the beginning of my trip. Never felt so unwelcomed at a restaurant before. I was very excited to visit this place and have their homecooked meals; but on arrival, the old lady who was the hostess didn't even acknowledge us after us trying to talk to her multiple times. I politely asked her if we could have a seat, we would like to eat, & she acted as if either she couldn't hear us or we were talking alien. I tried it again in few Greek words I knew along with hand gestures to ask if we could have a seat, she promptly looked at the only occupied table of Greek guests, spoke to them in Greek and they all looked at us and laughed. I mean - what?? Then she turned to us and just nodded her head no. The entire place was empty except that one table. They have the right to refuse service but this is strange and crazy. I mean is this normal in Greece? especially in a tourist town? Disappointing because it was so pretty on entering, assumed it would be a welcoming home type restaurant! Like some other reviews also suggest, avoid this place if you're a visitor because chances are - you won't be seated, served or worse -...
Read moreSweet Things is a cute, quirky restaurant but the food is forgetable. I am not sure why this place gets over four stars, perhaps people are being kind because of the elderly lady that takes the orders and cooks the food. We were given a jug of water when we arrived, it wasn’t cold and the glasses needed a good clean. There were no other drinks on offer apart from water. We were told the short list of dishes of the day, which all sounded promising. They really should put the food on a chalk board so you have time to think about what you want. A basket of ‘freshly’ baked bread, with three small slices was given to us after we ordered our food, it was dry and stale. My aubergine pie was two slices of aubergine with some small pieces of yellow and red pepper plus a small portion of brown rice and a blob of fresh cheese. The peppers and the cheese tasted good, the rest was bland. My husband had the mince in tomato sauce with tagliatelle; it was a bland small portion, the pasta was overcooked and the grated cheese it came with had no flavour. We ate our food because we were hungry, we didn’t see a bill but we paid €28 a left quickly. We went around the around to Dimelo for an extremely delicious baklava...
