Nestled high up in the mountains of Lefkes, Chrisoulas offers breathtaking views that stretch all the way to Naxos Island. This setting provides a stunning backdrop for any dining experience, and for that alone, the visit is worthwhile.

However, when it comes to the food, the experience falls flat. As someone with Greek heritage, I was particularly looking forward to a taste of home with their daily special, Pastitsio. Unfortunately, this dish, which is traditionally made with long macaroni, was prepared with fusilli pasta instead. This substitution significantly detracted from the authenticity and expected flavors of the dish.

The overall quality of the food was extremely average and bland. We started with a few appetizers, and before we were even halfway through, our main courses were abruptly placed on the table. This rushed service meant that by the time we finished our starters, the main courses had gone cold, further diminishing our dining experience.

We were so excited to visit this place given the outstanding reviews, however we were a bit disappointed. Overall wasn't a bad experience, but wasn't great either. Somehow food just didn't taste like anything (barely any salt). Service was good, views from the terrace were amazing as you can see the sea from the hills.

Food details: saganaki was just a big block of grilled halloumi (was one of the best dishes given it's a delicious cheese however we expected saganaki to be a bit more extra as you see in other restaurants), tzatziki was interesting as I think it was made with sheep's milk yogurt? which was a great twist, however we were missing the garlic / dill from it. They didn't have pita bread which was sad as we love it with dips. Beans were ok didn't taste much unfortunately; loved the parian sausages really delicious; greek salad was tasteless too which was a shame ; fries were undercooked and were soggy missing...

We recently dined at Χρυσούλα - Γεύσεις της Συντροφιάς, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The meatballs were the best I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chicken souvlaki was equally delicious, tender, and flavorful.
