TO ALL PLEASE READ THE WHOLE REVIEW INCLUDING THEIR ANSWER . We were told service was slow but it was absolutely ridiculous! The worse service in the island for sure. The food was ok. Menu limited and some of the items were not available. The owner was extremely rude and defensive when told service was slow and as opposed approaching it politely, he got defensive & threatful. He later apologized but for me personally, was too late. Do not recommended & you can share your experience and tell me how did it go. As you can see on their defensive response below, they clearly know nothing about customer service. Let's go further on their , indeed horrible service, not once there waitress came to check on appetizers, nor drinks nor even attempt to serve the wine , which bottle was empty. 20 mins after appetizers were finished & twice asking for our main courses, their response was, pasta is ready & in the kitchen. We are just waiting, they said. As far of their 'espresso' explanation below, I find it hilarious that they need to explain to me what that means. As if I had not done the research on the restaurant already, as I usually do. Also, the lame excuse of not having a reservation, when in fact the restaurant had 1 table when we arrived, is rather comical. You clearly were not ready nor expecting more ppl that night. Your apology came too late, I heard the owner complaining & cursing in Italian in the kitchen. Everyone could hear you. The arrogance of the owner, I believe, was by far the worse I've seen in a restaurant. So no, we won't be coming back nor give any recommendations. Glad you change your menu every 2 months. Just make sure you have it when asked. This review & complaint has nothing to do with the food but exclusively the staff poor behavior. So dear owner or manager, since you decided to give me a "lesson" on Italian cuisine, let me tell you some basic management behavior. And not going to get into your staff etiquette cause you have a lot to do about that. What you did... 1-Approached the table with an attitude & said "what's the problem" 2-Got into an argument with everyone, back & force trying to defend your poor service. 3-came to me by getting closer trying to antagonize me. 4-said that we were your guest & we were wrong. (You never invited us & if that's how you treat guests, then I understand why the bad service) 5-try to lecture us about restaurant service, & stated you were not a taverna which we've gotten better service from. 6- stormed out to kitchen screaming & cursing inItalian. Now what you should've done. 1- apologize 2- explain 3- accept criticism 4- tell your staff to become attentive 5- offer something on the spot And finally make sure that everything was turn around inton a positive experience. After all, CUSTOMER IS...

If you like to travel the Greek Islands, I’m sure you will have great memories from each place you’ve been. If you were to take all those pieces of the jigsaw and put them together, it would look like Oklaca. I have been searching for the perfect location for the last 10 years and I have finally found it (and I don’t say that lightly).
Enrico and Monica have created a tiny piece of Greek heaven that will live long in your soul. The rooms are simply stunning. The simplistic design, use of light and tasteful decoration are everything you ever dreamed of. Sitting on the balcony at night watching the sunset setting fire to the sky and lighting up the sea with a deep orange hue extracts the air from your lungs and leaves you feeling dizzy with joy. But that’s only act one. Act two begins when the moon appears shooting shards of white light across the dark water of the tiny bay. It has to be experienced to be believed. Photographs simply cannot catch the drama of the experience.
Located a 5 minute walk from the centre of Skala, it seems remote and isolated yet it’s beside all the bars and restaurants of a busy tourist town. The rocky beachfront is ideal for getting lost in a book (or just your thoughts) while being supplied with endless coffee for the restaurant which is located under the room. You can paddle your feet or snorkel along the craggy coastline and discover species of fish you never knew existed.
For the first time in our Greek odyssey, we found ourselves staying in a place that, if you left it to discover what the rest of the island, you felt you were cheating on it. I know that sounds nuts but it’s true. At night you can leave the windows open and listen to the vibrant methodical rhythm of the sea crashing against the shore. It fells like you are sleeping in the middle of the ocean. It’s just incredible.
Enrico & Monica are not simply the owners or hosts churning customers through to run to the bank with their hard-earned cash. They are friends with a genuine interest in who you are, what your story is and how they can make your experience as individual and unique as possible. Their attention to detail in borderline obsessive. Enrico’s warm and affectionate personality is like a big hug on a cold winters’ day. And it’s that warmth that is in the very bricks and mortar that is Oklaca.
Needless to say I...
