Cafe nostalgic — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Maybe the best Greek coffee that we had in skiathos ,exceptional place next to papadiamantis residence ,quiet and relaxed place.The coffee Greek is made with the old fashion way not like all the other coffee houses that are in a big hurry to serve the customers and the make it either in becko machines or on Steam,the serving is exceptional with a treat along the way ,good quantity and quality.The place there is ideal deep in the country's alleys next to papadiamantis home you will even see local tourist guides passing from there with a bunch of people talking about his history and childhood ,furthermore the place is not sunny as it is located below a big tree 🌲🌲🌲.We also try some tsipouro without glukaniso and an omelette with soutzouki and cheese 🧀 that was superb.The place was clean and in order.I will definitely prefer it again from the other huge cafeterias of the port or from bourtzi that if you go there you will not have the same quality of services food and coffee and you might wait also because the island is overcrowded by tourist.That being said I consider it as a value for money 💸💰💸💰 cafe / καφενείο depicting truly an old proper cafe that the island is missing thus the...

Nice and quite place, like an oasis in the most touristic street of Skiathos. Next to Papadiamanti’s house/museum.

We had traditional Greek coffee in “hovoli” (slow baked coffee) and frappe (iced Nescafé). The greek coffee usually comes with complementary “loukoumi” (traditional sweet, made of sugar, water and starch, along with aromas, usually shaped in small colourful tubes).

We also tried the orange pie and balaclava, both were exceptional.

If you don't mind service people ignoring you for a while and respond rudely, then this is your place. We came for a quick coffee before taking the ferry and the waiter made us wait until she thought it was appropriate to give service. We approached her a couple of times trying to explain that we did not have time to wait for very very long and she would shush us and sent us back. Very poor service, a shame as people in this island are usually super friendly...
