The Big Bad Wolf — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

During a week in Skiathos this is the only negative experience I had with people who live and work on the Island.

Food was decent enough but mostly over priced compared to elsewhere.

Main problem was the staff, attempts to be funny but not reading the room very well. Everything we ordered was questioned to the point of it being annoying.

As we walked in, 9 slices of bread were placed on our table, as we weren't asked this very much felt like a complimentary snack whilst we ordered. The bill comes and we have been charged €13 for 9 slices of the most dry bread you've ever tasted. I asked what it was for, I was told the bread and we were charged for 9 because there were 9 of us. I highlighted we didn't ask for this and that one of the '9' was a literal baby. He argued it with me, and then handed me over to some other lad who said it wasn't for bread it was a 'cover charge'. I said well he said it was bread and we didn't ask for bread that's just a scam. After a bit of arguing he said he would remove it but then the guy who took payment still asked for a tip. Not sure what planet these guys live on.

Had lovely meals with my family for 5 or six times, before having a last terrible experience. I have ordered the sea bream after i had it already a week before - The first time, best i ever had, by the way, fresh and crispy, incredibly tasty veggies that joined it, only this time it had an unbearable taste and smell, making it clear to me that was not the fresh fish they so much advertise (you basically find everywhere by The sea side in greece, along with the sea bass). The vegetables that came with the fish were not better, if not worse.. And all of it swimming în what was supposed to be dutch or maybe (?!) bearnaise sauce.. I was really dissapointed with this final meal, as I was there plenty of times during my stay in skiathos, with my entire family (children of 3 and 6 included... ) Sure, i understood their situation, lack of staff, previous chef being sick (?) as we were told.. But this is not an excluse for cooking and serving out of date fish. No traditional greek dishes available in the last week either, Due to missing chef. All in all, a place well worth trying, if they don t encounter staff problems. Nice lamb kleftiko and...

We were drawn in by what looked to be an exciting menu and friendly vibe. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The food was very basic, I ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was quite dry. The attitude of the staff was lacklustre and that’s being kind. They came across as very rude and judgmental when my friends placed their orders, which included alcohol free beers, and just generally across the whole of our time dining. When the bill came we had been charged €13 for bread, which was on the table when we arrived like many other places across the island (but the other places don’t charge!) They had quantified it as 9, so when we challenged this they said there were 9 people, one of which was my baby son who very clearly doesn’t eat bread at his age. They then referred us to another staff member who said this was cover charge not bread, so the story changed.
