Xenia Beach — Attraction in Skiathos Municipality

The beach is very beautiful and the waters crystal clear. But as it mentioned by other reviewers the beach is covered by sunbeds and the prices are insanely high. One ombrela with two sunbeds and a chair costs 18 euros. A fanta on metallic can 4.5 euros. Private beaches are illegal in Greece and there is regulation on how much space can be commercialised. However, this is totally ignored here - all for profit. This used to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the island but the owners of the newly built luxury hotel in this corner occupy three (!) beaches now charging horrendous prices for sunbeds and leaving nearly no space for locals and visitors. This is disgusting and it should not...

Sadly the hotel has taken over the beach with sunbeds, charging 45 euro for the front row, 35 euro further back, the craziest prices on the whole island. They've also laid them so they cover the entire beach section all the way to the water front so there's barely any space to get past them, or for anyone else to enjoy, as made clear by how empty the sea was, real shame the hotel has taken over the natural land for profit...
