Agustera Bar — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Best bar in Koukounaries by far. We come here for breakfast or lunch most days and the food has always been excellent. Prices are more than reasonable.

The bar is set back from the main road which is nice. They will show live sport and on the evening there is a good mix of music and they will do requests. (In fact the owner spotted my Stone Roses T-shirt and promptly played their music for me at times throughout the evening!)

But what sets this bar apart is the staff. Elsa has been more than welcoming and loves a chat. The owners are also so welcoming and have a good laugh with their customers. It is no wonder people return year after year. Also their dog Maverick is a beaut who steals the show every night and loves to play with the customers.

I would recommend to anyone going to Koukounaries to pay this...

We visited Agustera several times on our recent holiday to Skiathos and it was our favourite place to eat and drink out of all the places we went to. The food we had was excellent - fresh and tasty - personal highlights were the pastitsio, meatballs, Greek salad, Greek pizza and tzatziki. The drinks menu is extensive, there's something for everyone! We had cocktails and mocktails that were lovely and so well presented. We also visited at different times of the day - earlier there's a quieter, chilled vibe. Later on the music gets louder and it's more of a lively bar feel which is excellent. We visited this bar on Fri 9th of June arrived late on the island (walked a mile in search of food) we asked if they were still serving food (time was after 11pm) unfortunately the bar stopped serving food 9pm, so we started to leave, as we were leaving the premises a lad came after us and said we can put you a pizza in the oven, but would be pizza only on offer. We were shocked that so late after finishing serving food that they were still prepared to accommodate us. And guess what the pizza was amazing best we have had for a long time, after this night we went back for a drink and boy this place was great, great music and service was perfect definitely worth popping in on the way back...
