Overpriced and poor value. A chocolate croissant with a few pieces of strawberries cost €8.5! As shown in the photo, it was just a standard-sized croissant. Coffee averages around €4.5 per person, yet the quality is average (the café bar at Panormos Beach is noticeably better). For something simple and common, the prices at this cafe are higher than Paris. There is much discussion about “over-tourism,” with protests in cities like Venice and Barcelona and some places in Greece. However, a fair question to ask is: aren’t the tourists who paid significant higher prices than the locals also victims? Our holiday experience in Skopelos is an excellent example: locals appear to have a community network, with access to fairer prices or knowing where to shop at least, while there are some certain businesses—ranging from taxis, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants—seem to target tourists only and charge inflated rates. This isn’t about affordability, but about fairness and the healthy, sustainable development of the hospitality sector. As tourists, we should remind ourselves of the flawed logic that “because I am a tourist, it’s acceptable to be charged more since this will be a one-off visit anyway.” In a free and efficient market, the mechanism of demand and supply should ultimately decide fair pricing for products and services. That is why I am leaving this detailed review: to help the market mechanism do its job. And this isn’t just about a chocolate croissant or this café—it reflects Skopelos, and Greece more broadly, as a holiday destination. When prices become unreasonable, travelers will simply choose other options.

The cafe was almost empty, just a few people having coffee. Even so, we waited over an hour for breakfast. The food came in batches and was not tasty at all. The avocado bread was sour, the eggs tasteless and the worst was the strawberry pancakes, which didn't even have strawberries. I don't understand such a good reviews if they were having a bad day, but after this experience I definitely don't recommend it!

We stopped there for breakfast, we had to take the ship in almost 40 minutes. Best freddo espresso in Glossa and the best pancakes, so fluffy, everything was delicious and handmade. But unfortunately they took a little too much to bring us what we ordered and so I couldn’t eat my eggs. They have been so kind, they put my order in this cute box and they didn’t let us pay! I highly recommend this place

The owners and staff of Briki are a phenomenon! They keep focused and friendly, dosn't matter how many guests there are to serve, they are never hectic or impatient. As I keep going there for years every summer, I have tried many dishes from the menu. The whole menu is increadible in freshness, taste, looks and price! All cakes are personally made by Chara and although I'm not too much into sweets, the ones I've tried are delicious. Vangelis makes apart from service also the deliveries, quick and on time. The service lady Eleni knows what she's doing and works quick and efficient. Whilst observing the kitchen help lady, although I don't know her name, she seems to be the perfect addition to Chara who is mostly in the kitchen. It's nice to watch them work as they seem to always be in a good mood and continously be very nice to each other. I'd give 6 stars out of 5 ;-) I love Briki! See you...

Hey what can I say about this place. We visited the island in the middle of winter 11th of January. This was the only place open. Quite honestly the best coffee for starters!!!! We went to our meeting and when we were done we went back to Briki as we had 2 hours sto spare till the next ferry back to mainland. Hara and Vaggelis the owners went over and beyond to accommodate us with food which I will say was delicious every little bit that we tried was just amazing and full of flavour. Please try their homemade sweets which were over the moon!!!! We are planning to buy there a property and now we have our coffe place by the beach and port!!! Highly recommended or say even better a must!!!!! Thank you Hara and Vaggelis hope to be your...
