⚠️ I didn’t think it was possible to have a truly bad dining experience in Greece — until we walked into this place. ⚠️ Yes, the restaurant is undeniably beautiful… which makes what followed all the more surreal. We were first greeted by a friendly waiter, but then he appeared — a man who looked like a retired hermit fisherman, with unkempt white hair, grimy fingers, and the general air of someone who had long abandoned hygiene or professionalism. He drifted between tables, touching food with his bare, dirty hands, and spoke with the charisma of a sponge. The menu, already laughably short, briefly gave us hope. That optimism vanished when he mocked our choices, as if ridiculing his own 10-item menu was clever. Then he announced half the dishes weren’t available. We asked for alternatives, only to be told, with a shrug, that we should “go to another restaurant.” And so we did. In over 50 restaurants across Greece, never had we been pushed out before ordering. Professionalism clearly hasn’t reached this end of the port. To top it off, while telling customers to leave, he wandered around with a raw tuna steak tucked under his arm — no ice in sight — making me wonder how many people here are playing Russian roulette with their stomachs. We went straight to Anemologio nearby: more choice, pleasant staff, and people who actually know how to serve food. In contrast, this shabby excuse for a restaurant should be avoided at all costs. Judging by the flood of one-star reviews mentioning the same surly man, it’s a miracle this place still exists. Frankly, you’d be better off microwaving a frozen dinner than wasting your time — or risking your health — here.

The worst service in all of Greece! As we were sitting down, my husband ordered a beer. I wanted to look at a menu to see what drinks/wine they had, but no menu was offered, and I was not asked what I wanted to drink. After 15 minutes of being ignored I finally managed to flag down one of the two workers who were just standing around and got a drink, but half an hour after we both finished our drinks and were still never waited on for food, we paid our bill and left. One of the workers was outraged that we were leaving and said "don't you know where you are?" Yeah, the restaurant with the worst service we've had in all of Greece, and we've been here all this summer and all last summer. My husband told him I was angry that we waited so long with no service, and he told my husband to give me vinegar! After leaving, we went to Aramis Cafe Bistro and had the most delicious homemade meal with very friendly and fast service. They even gave us free plum liquor and free dessert. I don't know what the food is like at Vrahos because we never even had a waiter come to our table after waiting 45 minutes. And the restaurant was more than half empty! Go to Aramis instead!

Excellent food, value for money, fresh and high quality ingredients and great location. Food: We ordered light but the portions were huge. Fried calamari was excellent and fresh (rare in taverns actually). French fries were also fresh and homemade, great taste albeit not really crunchy. The salad was also great. The dipping sauces were also homemade and of great quantity. Plates were swimming in oil, which normally is a negative, but this was extra virgin olive oil which now is worth its weight in gold, so I'm making an exception here. Prices were pretty normal considering the quality of the raw ingredients and the quantity. Atmosphere: Right next to the sea with beautiful rocks (as is the name of the restaurant) protruding. Incredible setting at the edge of the village. Service: Very friendly. The owner is outspoken and hospitable, he may look like a Viking but has the attitude of a Greek grandmother ( "Eat! Eat!! Don't leave your plate empty!!"). He also refused our tip since "we are young and need the money" but we left something anyways. Please support small family businesses like these with honest owners!

⚠️ I didn’t think it was possible to have a truly bad dining experience in Greece — until we walked into this place. ⚠️

Yes, the restaurant is undeniably beautiful… which makes what followed all the more surreal.

And so we did.

Surprising Why only two stars? Having read mostly good reviews, we came here a couple of nights ago and at the owners recommendation, had the mixed seafood which was okay but nothing to write home about (a few prawns, a stuffed squid and 2 small but delicious fish - hardly worth the €55 charged) and a Mediterranean salad which was one of the best salads we have had in many years in Greece. As we had enjoyed the salad and wanted something light for lunch today, we dropped by at about 1 o’clock and despite a warm greeting from us, we were seemingly total strangers to the owner. Rather than a hello, his first words were “ Still or sparkling ?” He ignored me when I asked for a couple of beers and his question to my wife was simply “Lunch? Lunch?. “ I responded that we would each like a salad as we had really enjoyed it two evenings earlier. With this, he said “we don’t do salads at lunchtime. This is a restaurant “ Incidentally , there were six other people in the restaurant, so we were hardly taking up the chairs of those who might be ordering lobster. I reminded him that we had been a couple of nights earlier but that seemed to be irrelevant. Apparently, if you didn’t have fish or whatever else he wanted you to have then you were not going to have a salad, so we left and won’t be back. Strange way to run a business and...
